Greece Cruise and Land Vacation including Airfare

8 Days
Prices From:
US$ 1,999

Embark on a charming journey through the Greek Islands on this Greece cruise. Start in Athens, where you’ll see the historical highlights like the Acropolis, before exploring the islands in the Aegean Sea, including trendy Mykonos, the historical centres of Rhodes and Crete, and picture-perfect Santorini.

This 8-day Greece vacation takes you from Athens to several of the famous Greek Islands, including Mykonos, Rhodes, and Santorini. International airfare is included in the price.

Your Greece vacation begins in the capital, Athens, which is famous the world over as one of the cornerstone cities of western civilization. Dotted with ruins from the ancient world, such as the famous Acropolis, Athens is essentially a living and breathing museum. A city tour will get you up to speed on some of the best historical sites, taking you from Constitution Square to the House of Parliament, past Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympics were held to the Temple of Zeus, and finally to the Acropolis, where you’ll find the Temple of Athena Nike and the iconic Parthenon. After exploring the most famous spots of Ancient Greece, head to Athens Port to relax with a glass of wine or shop the promenade before boarding for your cruise to the Greek Islands.

First stop on your Greece cruise is Mykonos, the thumping heartbeat of the Cyclades. The island is second-to-none when it comes to nightlife, but it’s also full of high-end restaurants and stunning views that’ll satisfy even more sedate travellers. Continue along the Aegean Sea and pass into Turkish waters to reach Kusadasi, known as the gateway to Ephesus and home to a sprawling bazaar that’s worth exploring.

Head back into Greek waters and reach the island of Patmos. Forever known as the island where St. John received the visions of the Book of Revelation in the New Testament, Patmos also offers a quiet slice of Aegean life. Head to the town of Skala to see the old medieval stone walls and appreciate the island’s laidback atmosphere.

Next stop is Rhodes, where the ancient Colossus once stood atop the harbour. Today, Rhodes is a fascinating island showcasing historical sites and gorgeous beachside towns. You can stroll along the ancient cobblestoned streets of the Old Town, explore the Acropolis in Lindos or relax on the beach, enjoying the island’s sunny climate. Continue along to the island of Crete and the city of Heraklion, the fifth largest in Greece. You can survey the walls of Koules Fortress, visit world-class museums like the Heraklion Archaeological Museum and explore the Palace of Knossos. When you’re not exploring history, take advantage of the island’s golden beaches, thumping nightclubs, and famous Cretan dishes.

The last stop on your Greece cruise is Santorini, the magical island home to whitewashed houses, windswept cliffs, and postcard-perfect bliss. You can stroll along the 300m-high cliffs towering over the ocean or enjoy the romantic atmosphere of the island’s charming towns. The island is also home to the Minoan ruins of Akrotiri, one of the country’s best archaeological sites. Afterwards, you’ll return to Athens to disembark and close out your Greece vacation.
