MODERATE | TAILOR-MADE: Explore the German city of Frankfurt and experience a mixture of modern business and old-world charm. Staying in centrally located accommodations, you’ll have the freedom to explore the city by foot, though included tours are sure to help you find all the best locations.
This 3-day German vacation showcases the highlights of Frankfurt while staying in a premium accommodation. It’s perfect for first-time visitors to the city.
You might be familiar with Frankfurt because of its massive international airport or its role as Germany’s financial hub, but there’s more to the city than its commercial functions to the world. It’s also a fascinating blend of tradition and modernism, with some of Europe’s most-striking skyscrapers and a lovely Altstadt or Old Town. Staying in a 4-star hotel in the city centre, you’ll have a few days to explore the heart of Frankfurt. Take advantage of the Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour to zip around the city and see whichever sites interest you. In particular, we recommend you see the half-timbered wooden homes of the Romerberg and Paulskirche, the seat of the first democratic parliament in Germany in 1848. You can also tour the Old Opera House, which was rebuilt following World War II, stroll down pedestrian-only Fressgass to buy snacks at all manner of butcher shops, delicatessens, and cheese shops. If you’re an avid reader, head to the Goethe House Museum to learn about the life and writings of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Also be sure to swing by the skyscraper district to see the glimmering towers that house the city’s big banks. At the end of your stay, head to the airport to continue your onward journey.
This trip to Frankfurt is a great addition to a longer German vacation.

Day Tour on the Rhine and Wine Tasting
This is an unforgettable day trip to the Rhine River Valley - an area which UNESCO counts to the World Heritage of mankind. Come and see the river, the little villages and vineyards. The river is lined with mighty medieval castles, more than anywhere else in the world. See the famous Loreley Rock, a 194-metre-high slate cliff towering above the narrowest point of the Rhine. Enjoy a gorgeous view from the Niederwald Monument and a cable car ride (optional, own account) from the top of the hills in summertime. Lunch (included) will be in a beautiful restaurant at the riverside, followed by a wonderful boat trip on a Rhine steamer up to St. Goarshausen. Try fine wines on location in a small tavern and or just lose yourself in the picturesque little town of Rudesheim. Please note that the tour will only stop at Rudesheim if time allows. In the winter you'll get the chance to visit a castle, as the Rhine Steamers won't be sailing. You will travel back to Frankfurt by bus when the tour is finished and will be dropped off at the meeting point.
