FIRST-CLASS | TAILOR-MADE: Enjoy a spectacular visit to the Land of Fire and Ice on this excellent trip based out of Iceland's funky capital, Reykjavik. Take in the highlights of the Golden Circle, including Geysir and Gullfoss, spelunk into the dormant remains of a volcano, enjoy a foodie-themed walking tour, and cap off your stay with a relaxing dip in the waters of the Blue Lagoon.
This 5-day Icelandic vacation showcases the capital, Reykjavik, and the surrounding region. It features first-class accommodations and shared tours.
Your journey takes you to Reykjavik, the Icelandic capital, to enjoy a quick tour of the highlights of western Iceland. Reykjavik is the world’s most northerly capital. It’s small and easily-walkable, but still has the cultural highlights and celebrated food scene that you’d expect of a capital. After arriving in Iceland and connecting to Reykjavik, you’ll head to FlyOver Iceland to enjoy a 35-minute virtual journey across the whole of the nation. Strap yourself in and get suspended over a visual journey that takes you along the glaciers, fjords and plains of the island. The next day, head on the quintessential tourist circuit of the Golden Circle, which takes you to the traditional site of the Icelandic parliament at Thingveller National Park, where the tectonic plates meet, the geysers and mud pools of Geysir, and the mighty waterfall of Gullfoss. Another day, journey inside a dormant volcano in the Blarfjoll Mountains and explore a subterranean magma chamber, and after sleeping off the hike, set out on a foodie-themed walking tour. Cap off your time in Iceland with a day at the Blue Lagoon, the nation’s most famous spa. Located not far from the airport, the spa offers blue geothermal waters that relax and revitalize with mineral-rich mud.
At the end of your stay, connect back to the airport to continue onwards to your next destination.

Inside the Volcano
This incredible tour gives you the opportunity to descend inside the magmatic chamber of a dormant Icelandic volcano. Thrihnukagigur volcano lies in the Blafjoll Mountains, just a 30 minutes' drive from Reykjavik. Once you reach the Blafjoll Mountains' cabin, you'll leave your transportation behind and begin an easy and very scenic hike through the lava fields to reach the opening of the crater (approx. 40 minutes). At the basecamp you will be divided in smaller groups of 4-5 people. This is the maximum number allowed on the open elevator that will lift you inside the magma chamber of the dormant volcano. The descent is approx. 120m/400ft long and takes approx. 7-8 minutes each way. Once at the base, you will spend approximately 30 minutes on the ground in the magma chamber. If you are more than 5 people, don't worry, you can wait for your turn while enjoying a tasty bowl of traditional Icelandic meat soup, as well as hot coffee/tea/chocolate, offered free of charge at the nearby basecamp close to the crater's opening.
