Check into your hotel of choice for overnight accommodation and then start your sightseeing with a boat tour which will cover the harbour and some of the principal canals. You can get on and off as desired at any of the stops and pick up another scheduled boat later. Some of the available places of interest include the Danish Architecture Centre housed in a 19th Century warehouse, Christiansborg Palace, seat of the Danish Parliament, the very impressive Royal Danish Opera House, the most modern opera house in the world, the Experimentarium, the science and technology museum and perhaps the best known landmark, the iconic Little Mermaid, a bronze and granite statue displayed in the middle of the harbour. Two other possibilities are the Black Diamond, part of the Copenhagen library and the National Museum with its cultural history exhibits.
