Katarina Cruise Line: Dubrovnik to Split: 6 Days

6 Days
Prices From:
US$ 678

Head on a picturesque cruise along the Dalmatian Coast from Dubrovnik to Split on this Croatia vacation. A cruise is the perfect way to explore medieval towns like Korcula and Hvar, and lets you enjoy the history, culture, and stunning beaches this strip of Croatia has to offer.

This 6-day cruise from Dubrovnik to Split takes you along Croatia’s picturesque Dalmatian Coast.

Point of departure for your Croatia vacation is Dubrovnik, the gorgeous medieval city on the Adriatic Sea. Dubrovnik is one of coastal Europe’s most popular destinations, attracting people the world over with its 500-year-old city walls and picturesque café culture. The city is so gorgeous, HBO has it stand in for King’s Landing on Game of Thrones. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the city, walking through Stradun and along the almost-2,000-metre-long City Wall before boarding your cruise ship to begin your journey up the Croatian coast.

From Dubrovnik travel to the small town of Sipan or Trstenik to swim off pristine beaches, visit a local winery, and anchor along a coastline. Your next major stop is Korcula, the birthplace of Marco Polo and one of the most remarkable medieval towns along the coast. Explore the town’s fortified walls and bastions before moving on to Hvar with a swimming break at the Pakleni Islands en route.

Hvar is the longest island in the Adriatic and a tourist hub with its Renaissance cathedral and community theatre dating back to 1612, the oldest of its kind in Europe. With plenty of great bars, restaurants, and cafes, you’ll find plenty to keep you occupied in Hvar so long as you don’t mind crowds; the town is one of the most popular in the country and can attract 20,000 people a day in the high season. Continue on to Brac Island for some swimming at Zlatni Rat, the most famous beach along the Dalmatian Coast.

Your final stop on your Croatia cruise is Split, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most gorgeous cities in the country. Make sure to admire its abundance of Roman architecture and the stunning Diocletian’s Palace, which will occupy you before the evening brings a chance to take advantage of the charming nighttime atmosphere.

This Croatia vacation showcases the best of the Dalmatian Coast and the country’s stunning blend of history and natural beauty.
