Kutna Hora is an old mining town founded in the 13th century which was once famous for its silver mines. Once here, you will visit the gothic St. Barbara Cathedral known for its valuable murals. Go to the former royal mint which once coined Prague groschen. To this day Kutna Hora has retained the character of a medieval city, and is therefore a UNESCO world heritage site. Before returning to Prague you will visit a unique Ossuary, known as the bone church, a medieval Gothic chapel standing on the remains of thousands of people. The church is a reminder of the transience of human life and the existence of death. Its bizarre decorations made from human bones in the form of chandeliers, a pyramid and crosses make the church an interesting, mysterious and popular tourism site.
