This 5-day Portuguese vacation showcases Lisbon and includes day trips to other Portuguese landmarks, including Sintra and Fatima. It features first-class accommodations and private tours. 

Your journey begins in Lisbon, the Portuguese capital and a stunning town of cobbled alleys and domed cathedrals hiding world-class food, music, and history. A full-day tour will take you to some of the city’s great sights and introduce you to its fascinating history. Start in the Discoveries Quarter and see Jeronimos Monastery and the Tower of Belem, the city’s most famous landmarks. Then explore the central squares of downtown Lisbon before ending your tour in the modern neighbourhood of Parque das NacoesThat evening, enjoy a new view of the city as it’s lit up under the night sky. Stop by Belem to see the tower illuminated on the water before heading for dinner and enjoying a Fado performance and folk dance show. 

While based in Lisbon, you’ll head on two full day tours to explore other significant parts of Portugal. One day you’ll journey to the quaint village of Sintra, best known for the bright yellow Romanticist castle, Pena Palace. Afterwards, head to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point in Europe, to enjoy the views over the coastline and visit the trendy resorts and casinos of Cascais and Estoril. Another day, head to Fatima, the most sacred site in the country, where three children witnessed a vision of the Virgin Mary in 1917. You’ll visit the sanctuary dedicated to the miracle before heading to the fishing village of Nazare and the medieval village of Obidos, home to a Moorish castle. 

At the end of your stay, you’ll connect back to the airport to return home or continue to your next destination.

Day 2

Full Day Classic Lisbon Tour

Enjoy a full day discovering the beautiful city of Lisbon. With a professional driver-guide, start by visiting the Discoveries Quarter of Belem, from which the Portuguese Caravels sailed off to the epic maritime discoveries. Belem is home to two of Lisbon's jewels and symbols of the city, the Jerónimos Monastery and the Tower of Belem, built after Vasco da Gama's discovery of India, in late 15th century. Following this visit, make a quick stop at the most famous local pastry shop in Portugal "Pasteís de Belém, founded in 1837. Then, head to central Lisbon to admire the major squares such as Rossio Square and Commerce Square. The afternoon starts from Restauradores Square, passing by the Santa Justa Elevator and continues to downtown Lisbon. Admire the narrow streets of Alfama, visit the Lisbon Cathedral, admire the view St. Jorge Castle as you pass by Chiado, Bairro Alto and some amazing viewpoints like Portas do Sol and Santa Luzia.

The tour will ends with a visit to Parque das Naçoes, the new and modern part of the city, near the Tejo River, that hosted Expo'98, built to celebrate the 500 years of India's discovery by Vasco da Gama.

Panoramic Lisbon by Night + Dinner and Fado show

Enjoy an unforgettable evening with the beauty and the lights of Lisbon and its main monuments. On this shared tour, discover a panoramic view of the major sights in Lisbon including the famous Jeronimos Monastery and Belem Tower. Later, enjoy dinner at an authentic restaurant with a Fado and folk dance performance. Fado is the music genre that is cannot be explained, but can best experienced through its nostalgic sounds and must heard in silence.

Day 3

Full Day Sintra, Cascais and Estoril

Discover the most important sights in Sintra, Cascais and Estoril. The morning is spent in the romantic village of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage City. Upon arrival, pass through the quaint village, then, up the hill to the Pena Palace. Built on one of the highest mountain peaks, this enchanting castle is one of the finest examples of 19th-century Romanticism. Enjoy some free time in Sintra as you admire the green mountainscape, Moorish influences, narrow lanes and view of the medieval castle. In the afternoon, drive to the most westernmost point in Europe at Cabo da Roca. Sitting at 150 meters above the sea, Cabo da Roca played an important part in defending Lisbon's harbour. Today, walk to the edge and enjoy panoramic views over the Serra de Sintra and coast. Next stop is Cascais, a former seaside fishing village, now one of Portugal's most fashionable seaside resort areas. Discover the relaxing atmosphere of sunny beaches, palm-lined mosaic sidewalks and ocean viewpoints. Perhaps stop by the famous Boca do Inferno (mouth of hell), the natural sea-arch and cave formation. Finally, drive past Estoril, famous for is picturesque beaches, golf courses and the inspiration for Ian Fleming's James Bond and Casino Royale!

Day 4

Full Day Fatima, Nazare and Obidos

This tour takes you to the Centre of Portugal with visits to three iconic towns - Fatima, Nazare and Obidos! Your tour departs Lisbon and takes you to Fatima, the famous catholic sanctuary in Portugal and one of the largest in the world. Learn about its fascinating history where three shepherd children saw the appearance of the Virgin Mary in 1917, beside an oak tree. The town of Fatima is one of the most sacred cities in the world and welcomes thousands of pilgrims each year. Enjoy some free time exploring Fatima before heading the the seaside town of Nazare. Traditionally a seaside fishing village, the town became popular as recording the world's largest ever surfed wave (100 feet)! Today, it is popular for its golden sandy beaches, stylish hotels and restaurants and of course, surfing! The final stop is Obidos, the medieval village, of Obidos. This picturesque town is dominated by the Obidos Castle, founded by the Moors in the 7th-century. Walk the perimeter of the walls for amazing views, then wander along the cobblestone streets, try some cherry liquor and time-travel to the middle ages.
