US$ 1,516

MODERATE | ESCORTED COACH TOUR: See the best of Spain in one week. In Madrid, explore the city at your own pace with a hop-on, hop-off bus pass. Then, travel by deluxe coach to southern Spain and visit Cordoba, Seville, and Granada. Savor the unique and diverse Andalusian culture and architecture, including a visit to the great Alhambra.

This 7-day Spanish vacation takes you from Madrid into Andalusia to explore Seville and Granada. It features first-class accommodations and shared tours.

Your journey begins in Madrid, the Spanish capital and heart of its cultural life. Get to know the city at your own pace and take advantage of the hop-on hop-off bus ticket to ride a popular tourist route between its most famous landmarks. Stops include the Prado Museum, Plaza Mayor, and Teatro Real, so you have many options for what to do during your time in the capital. Once you leave Madrid behind, drive into La Mancha to explore the countryside that inspired Don Quixote. You’ll see the natural border of Despenaperros before reaching the region of Andalusia. Explore the old city of Cordoba, seeing its Jewish Quarter and the mosque, before reaching Seville, the capital of Andalusia.

In Seville, a city tour will show you the most wondrous sites of the classic city, including the cathedral, which is the second largest in the world after St. Peter’s. You’ll also stroll through the Santa Cruz Quarter and visit Plaza de Espana. Continue past olive trees along the Caliphate Road to reach the city of Granada, where the Moorish palace of the Alhambra stands as the greatest achievement of Islamic Spain. Explore the massive palace complex and Generalife Gardens before continuing back towards Madrid.

On your final day on the road, you’ll drive towards the Tagus River and reach Toledo, the old city that is defined by the conflux of Islamic, Catholic, and Jewish cultures. Explore the township and learn about the unique gold and silver iron inlay known as Damasquinado before returning to Madrid. At the end of your stay, you’ll connect back to the airport to return home.
