Enjoy the highlights of 3 very different countries, all in close proximity to each other. The cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Brussels, Antwerp and Luxembourg all offer exceptional historical and cultural attractions. Add to this, visits into the countryside to complete your itinerary.


What is a Classic Independent Itinerary? SEE Goway Classic BELOW

On arrival in Amsterdam, settle in for a stay of 3 nights before enjoying a canal tour by night which includes a 4 course dinner as you take in the delights of the city from the water.

The next morning, get to know Amsterdam on a tour that includes the Mint Tower, the floating flower market, Dam Square, the Royal Palace, the Nieuwe Kerk, St. Nicholas Church and the Jewish quarter among other highlights. Also visit a Diamond factory for a demonstration of diamond cutting. The afternoon is free. Consider the exceptional Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum.

The following day, head out into the Dutch countryside, first to Zaanse Schans, the picturesque windmill village with its green-timbered houses. Also visit a working windmill. Next continue to Volendam, a typical Dutch fishing village and the ex Island of Marken where you will spend time at a cheese farm and a traditional clog makers.

The next morning travel to Rotterdam, a city of modern architecture. On a tour, see the old port with its unique yellow cube houses. Then continue to nearby Delft for a visit to a Blue Delft factory. Close by is The Hague. Here you will see the Parliament Buildings and the Peace Palace. Finally visit Madurodam, the miniature village before taking the train to Brussels where you will stay for the next 4 nights.

Your discovery of Belgium begins with a day to Ghent and Bruges. Ghent is known for its lace making. Here you will have a tour taking in St. Bravo’s Cathedral with its famous “Mystic Lamb” painting, the Belfry, St. Nicholas Church, the famous Graslei street with its historic buildings and the fortified castle of the Count of Flanders. Continue to Bruges, a city of immense character and a network of attractive canals. Have a walking tour here taking in the cobblestone streets and quaint bridges.

The next morning, head to Antwerp with its preserved historic character. A tour here will include the Market Square with its ancient houses and our Lady’s Cathedral which showcases 4 of Rubens masterworks. Also visit the new MAS museum where you can have an excellent view of the city.

The following day travel to the Duchy of Luxembourg where a tour will include the Cathedral, the Palace of the Grand Duke and the attractive Place des Armes. Also take in the historic Abbey of Neumunster and the Wenceslaswall. There will be time to explore further on your own.
Your final day brings a tour of Brussels including the majestic Grand Place, the Royal Palace, the infamous Manneken Pis statue and the elegant Sablon, an historic neighbourhood situated on a hill. After the tour, your itinerary comes to an end.

Day 2

Amsterdam

After breakfast at the hotel, head to the starting location for a panoramic tour to discover the most interesting places in town: Mint Tower, Rokin, the floating flower market, Dam Square, the Royal Palace, and the Nieuwe Kerk and the National Monument, the Beurs van Berlage, Central Station, St. Nicholas Church, the Jewish quarter of the seventeenth century, etc. Also visit a diamond factory , where he will attend a demonstration of diamond cutting and an exhibition of the various types of precious stones. Afternoon free to explore other parts of the city or visit one of its museums such as the Van Gogh and the Rijksmuseum, which houses some of the most important works of the great Dutch artists.

Day 3

Rotterdam, The Hague and Delft

After breakfast at the hotel, head to the starting location for a trip to Rotterdam, The Hague and Delft. A great impression of Holland, which will begin with a visit to Rotterdam, famous for its modern architecture. During the city tour, drive along the banks of the Meuse, the old port and the striking yellow cube houses. Enjoy incredible views from the top of the Euromast tower, 185 meters high. Then you will go to Delft, where you will have lunch (not included) and make a visit to a factory of Delft Blue. Then visit the Hague, our Parliament and the Peace Palace. Last stop is the miniature city Madurodam. Return to Amsterdam.

Day 4

Dutch Countryside

After breakfast at the hotel, head out to the starting location for an excursion that will give you a complete picture of this land and its people. During this excursion you will see Zaanse Schans, the picturesque windmill village, with its typical green-timbered houses and warehouses. Here you will visit a working windmill. Other highlights during this excursion include the famous and lively fishing village of Volendam (where we will visit a cheese factory/museum and give you time for lunch at a traditional fish restaurant) and the boat trip to or from the former island of Marken , where we will visit a local traditional clog maker. Return to Amsterdam around 15: 00h. Transfer from the hotel to the train station and travel to Brussels. Arriving in Brussels. Transfer from the station to the hotel.

Day 5

Bruges and Ghent

Breakfast at the hotel and head out to the starting location for a trip to Bruges and Ghent. After an hour's drive, arrive in GHENT and visit St Bavo's Cathedral, home of the world famous late medieval "Mystic Lamb" painting (optional visit, closed on Sundays). During the city tour you will see all important ancient buildings for
which the city is so famous: the Belfry, St Nicholas' Church and the famous Graslei with its historic buildings, the fortified castle of the Count of Flanders.
Next stop is to BRUGES, where wou will first visit the dreamy Lake of Love and the beguinage where you can find peace and quiet. Time for lunch.
Afterwards start the walking tour and discover all the highlights of the city: Saint John's Hospital, Our Lady's Church with the statue by Michelangelo (optional), the Market Square with the Belfry and the medieval Chapel of the Holy Blood. Don't forget your walking shoes though! Return to Brussels.

Day 6

Antwerp

Breakfast at the hotel and free morning. In the afternoon we head to the starting location for an excursion to Antwerp. Antwerp is Belgium's 2nd largest city and Europe's 2nd largest harbor. The city has preserved its historic character and many buildings remind us of its rich past. Above all, it is the city of RUBENS, the world famous master of the 17th century. Drive to the ancient fortress of the city. Here you start our walking tour along the "Meathouse" to the Market Square with its ancient houses and Our Lady's Cathedral (entrance fee included). This cathedral boasts many treasures among which 4 of Rubens' masterworks: "The Erection of and the Descent from the Cross, the Ascension of the Virgin and the Resurrection." Some free time in the city center.
Then by coach to the beginning of the port with its splendid new MAS-museum that has been opened. You have a splendid view from the 9th floor of the port, Europe's 2nd largest. Also here you can have a look at the Diamonds of the Diamond Pavillion as Antwerp is the world's diamond center. MAS is closed on Mondays.
Free access to the Panorama. Return to Brussels.

Day 7

Luxembourg and Bastogne

Breakfast at the hotel and head out to the starting location for a trip to Luxembourg and Bastogne.You need a 3 hrs drive to arrive in Luxembourg, the capital of the Grand Duchy. The guide takes you to the many historic sites of the city, both in the upper and lower part of the city. The picturesque historical town, the
cathedral, the palace of the Grand Duke and the Place des Armes. During your walk towards to the lower part of the city you will have an excellent vieuw on some buildings of the EU on the plateau of Kirchberg. Once in the valley you will admire the important fortifications and kazemates, the historic abbey of Neumunster, the
Wenceslaswall and the beautiful setting on the Alzette river. Before leaving, you have free time in the city center. Through the green hills of the Belgian Ardennes, drive to Bastogne. During Christmas 1944 the town was the site of the worst battle between the allied (American) and German forces. Visit the Mardasson-memorial. After a stop at the Place Mac Auliffe, return to Brussels at around 21:00h.

Day 8

Brussels

Breakfast at the hotel and head out to the starting location for a sightseeing visit of Brussels. Start your visit by driving along the magnificent St. Michaels' cathedral towards the Laeken district : see the Royal Residence, the Chinese Pavillion, the Japanese Tower and the world-famous Atomium. Further to the national Basilica of
Koekelberg, with its splendid art-deco interior and one of the most imposing churches in the world. Situated on a hill, 2 lifts bring you some 53 meters above the ground
where you will have a splendid view on the city (visit included). Driving back to the city center, pass along the column of Congres towards the stately Place Royale, the Sablon district with its elegant stores selling beautiful antiques, and the impressive Law Courts. Then reach the Royal Palace and enter the European district with the buildings and offices of the European Parliament, the European Commission and Council of Ministers. In the Park of the Jubilee you will marvel at the the monumental Triumphal Arch and some excellent examples of Art Nouveau houses. Passing the Royal Parc and the Belgian Parliament drive back to the city center : tour ends on the beautiful Grand' Place where the guide tells the history of the unique city hall and splendid guild houses. Private transfer from hotel to airport.
