DELUXE | PRIVATE-GUIDED: Discover Normandy’s rich history and beautiful scenery on this week-long French vacation. Start in Paris before visiting medieval Bayeux, the beach battlefields of D-Day, iconic Mont Saint-Michel, and the gardens of Giverny. This vacation also includes a ‘Tour de France” gourmet food tour in Paris.

This 7-day French vacation takes you to Paris, the battlefields of Normandy, and Mont Saint-Michel. It features deluxe accommodations and private tours.

Your journey begins in Paris, the City of Light and one of the most beloved spots on the planet. You’ll have the rest of the day upon arrival to explore the city at leisure. Use that time to swing by world-famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, or the Louvre, or stroll through the narrow streets of the Latin Quarter or bohemian Montmartre. The next day, enjoy your very own “Tour de France” with a gourmet food tour. Start at a bakery where you’ll enjoy butter croissants before visiting the famous food market, Les Halles. Continue down Rue Montorgueil to shop for cheese and chocolates before ending at a wine bar where you’ll enjoy a wine tasting courtesy of an expert sommelier.

From Paris, head into Normandy and stop in Honfleur, a medieval town along the Seine, where you can admire the townhouses lining the harbour. Continue to Bayeux, where you’ll be based during your time in Normandy. Take advantage of leisure time to see the Bayeux Tapestry, the famous artwork that depicts William the Conqueror’s invasion of England in 1066. Spend a full day exploring the breathtaking island fortification of Mont Saint-Michel, a Gothic abbey that transforms into an isolated island tower during high tide. Afterwards, swing by nearby Granville, a trendy resort area where you can visit the Dior Museum. Another day explore the beach battlefields of D-Day, starting at Pointe du Hoc to survey the beaches where tens of thousands of Allied troops landed on June 6, 1944. You’ll visit the Utah and Omaha Beaches and visit the American Cemetery at Saint Laurent, where you can pay your respects to fallen soldiers. Turn back to Paris and stop by Giverny, where you’ll see the home and gardens of Claude Monet, which inspired his Impressionist paintings.

After another night in Paris, you’ll head to the airport to return home or connect to your next destination.

Day 1

Arrive Paris

On arrival in Paris you will be transferred to your hotel.

Paris is known as the “City of Light”. The origin of this name comes from the Middle Ages which was the period of enlightenment. It is also known as the Capital of Fashion, which is no surprise when one thinks of all those famous French designers. This beautiful and romantic city, in many respects, resembles an outdoor museum with its attractive and elegant architecture and wide boulevards. In fact, a large section of the centre of the city has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Paris is made up of 20 districts called Arrondissements, each one giving a different perspective to the city. The meandering River Seine dissects the city and adds enormously to the character and beauty of travel to Paris.

The balance of the bay is at leisure to enjoy the French capital.
