Spend time in the far north of Norway at the Arctic Circle enjoying a stay at an ice hotel, being pulled along on a sleigh ride by Huskies and partaking in traditional local cuisine. Also watch out for the elusive and mystical northern Lights.

Explore Norway's Arctic region on this Locally Escorted Group Tour that includes specially selected accommodations, quality transportation, sightseeing, special culinary experiences and a knowledgeable Tour Escort.

Begin your visit to the north of Norway in the town of Kirkenes where you will spend your first night. The next morning, you will have an excursion on the King Crab Safari to have an opportunity to taste one of the local specialities. This includes heading out on to the Kirkenes Fjord. After catching a crab, it will be cooked for you to eat at lunch. In the evening, visit the Kirkenes Snow Hotel for a tour and dinner. Spend the night in a Snow Igloo with its unique snow wall carvings and sculpted ice bed. Each bed has a mattress and thermal sleeping bags so you can sleep warmly.

The following day depart from Kirkenes and fly to Tromso where you will spend the next 3 nights.

Enjoy time the next morning with Huskies who will take you on a run of 4 kilometres/ 2.5 miles on Kvaloya Island, one of the largest islands in Norway followed by a lunch of reindeer stew. The afternoon is at leisure.

The next day is at leisure to enjoy Tromso. A recommended visit is to Polaria, five minutes' walk from the centre of Tromso. Housed in a building that represents ice flows pressed up on land by the rough seas of the Arctic. Polaria offers an Arctic aquarium, exhibits and a panoramic cinema where you can see the Ivo Caprino film "Svalbard - Arctic Wilderness" and the Ole C. Salomonsen production "Northern Lights in Arctic Norway". In the evening, with a little luck, you will view the mystical Northern Lights at an open air camp where you will meet professional hunters and enjoy a traditional Lapp dinner.

The next morning brings to an end your Northern Lights and Arctic Circle experience.
