Storkyrkan, the Coronation Church that dates from the 13th century is the city's oldest church. The interior holds many unique artifacts. The most famous is the statue of St. George and the Dragon. A 15th century masterpiece made from wood, which symbolizes Sweden struggle to break free of Denmark, made by Bernt Notke.
