- Duration
- 5 Days
- Prices From:
- US$ 1,797
Embark on a small group tour through Wales to see some of the nation’s highlights. Start in Cardiff and head into the Welsh countryside to visit the home of Dylan Thomas, St Davids, the smallest city in Europe, and the Snowdonia mountain range. This snapshot of Wales will leave you wanting to return to the nation at your earliest opportunity.
This 5-day Welsh vacation gives you a snapshot of Wales, from Cardiff to the Pembrokeshire Peninsula and Snowdonia. It features moderate accommodations, shared tours, and is a great introduction to Wales.
Beginning in Cardiff, begin your journey across Wales by heading to the Pembroke Peninsula, where you’ll stop in Laugharne, home to the poet Dylan Thomas and basis for Under Milk Wood in his writings. After visiting his home, continue to the Lovespoon Workshop to grab a souvenir before continuing to Tenby. Pass on to St Davids, the smallest city in the United Kingdom and home to St. David’s Cathedral, the resting place of the patron saint of Wales. Connect to Aberystwyth where you’ll have time to explore the National Library of Wales and learn about its history.
Board the Vale of Rheidol stream train and ride along the waterfalls of North Wales through the Cambrian Mountains in Snowdonia, the beautiful region of craggy peaks and green mountaintops. Spend a morning on the island of Anglesey off the northwestern coast before heading to Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, the town with the longest name in all of Europe. You’ll then stop by Caernarfon Castle and the Bodnant Welsh Food Centre before enjoying a farewell dinner and connecting back to Cardiff to end your Welsh vacation.
