This 9 day first-class escorted coach tour explores the highlights of fascinating Spain. Visit sophisticated Madrid and Barcelona while also embracing historics sites such as the Alhambra as well as the sunny Mediterranean and Andalusian coasts.
You will start your journey in Madrid, Spain’s sunny capital. Spend your first morning learning about the cultural influences and history of the city before taking the afternoon to explore on your own. The next day you will head south to Seville and stop at the famous mosque in Cordoba on the way. Southern Spain has been heavily influenced by Moorish history and this will be evident in the groves of olives trees and unique architecture.
Seville is famous as the home of Flamenco but is also home to some unexpected and historic sites, including the largest Catholic cathedral after St Peter’s in the Vatican. After a morning tour of the city you will have the opportunity explore the sites on your own.
Day five brings you to Granada and the Alhambra, once a castle of a Moorish kingdom before being a home to the kings and queens of Spain..The castle and it’s gardens have been a literary inspiration for many.
You will then make your way to Valencia on the Medeterranen coast and enjoy a city tour that takes in the six major museums. Valencia is also a fantastic stop for foodies as it is the best place in the world to enjoy some paella.
Your final two days take you north to Barcelona, most famous for its uniquely designed buildings by Gaudi, including Sagarada Familia. You get to spend your final day being guided around the most famous sites of the city before heading off on your onward travels the next morning.

Breakfast at the hotel. Take a morning city tour of the Andalusian capital where you will visit its stunning Cathedral, the second largest in the Catholic world after St. Peters in Rome. Continue to the Santa Cruz quarter, the home of Carmen, the Gypsy of Seville and the myth of Don Juan, followed by a visit to Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de Espana. Next, take a boat trip on the Gualdalquivir river. Enjoy views of the Seville, with its elegant bridges such as San Telmo or Triana, the Giralda.
