Prague: Jewish History Walking Half Day Tour
- Duration
- 3 Hours
- Prices:
- On request
This walking tour will take you through the only Central European Jewish Town-Quarter to have survived the holocaust, Josefov. While much of the area was destroyed, six synagogues, the old cemetery and the Old Jewish Town Hall remain. The old cemetery has tombs dating back to the early 15th century, and has been the site of conspiracy theories over the years. Synagogues dating back to the 13th century and built in a number of styles including Gothic, Moorish and Baroque can be found. Visit the Pinkas Synagogue, now a memorial to Holocaust victims. Finally walk through Maiselova Street to the Old Town Square where your tour ends.
