- Duration
- 9 Days

FIRST-CLASS | TAILOR-MADE: Experience the best of Italy's top cities by foot in Rome, Florence and Cinque Terre. In Rome and Florence, get outside and roam the streets visiting important piazza's like, Navona, the Vatican Museums and Michaelangelo's David. Then, hike the villages in Cinque Terre and be rewarded with local food and wine!
When all roads lead to Rome, some of the prettiest ones are best taken on foot. This 9-day trip with small group touring invites you to walk through some of Italy’s most iconic and beloved cities and towns, including timeless Cinque Terre.
Begin in Rome, the Eternal City, with your small group for a full-day walking tour taking in all the Roman Holiday favourites. See the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and the Piazza Navona, before skipping the queue at the fabled Vatican Museums. Take an extra day at leisure to enjoy Rome’s other big sights, such as the Colosseum and Roman Forum, or the trendy neighbourhood of Trastevere, before boarding your Florence-bound train.
The capital of the Renaissance, Florence offers something to astound around every corner. Learn about the Medici on your walking tour, and see the most important sights including the Duomo, and the Accademia Gallery, where you’ll pay your respects to Michelangelo’s David. The entire tour takes around four hours, so you’ll have the balance of the day to explore at your own pace, plus a full day at leisure to explore more of Florence, or take a cheeky side trip to Siena.
If ever there was a destination in Italy made for hiking, it’s Cinque Terre. The subject of countless photogenic postcards, this chain of five scenic cliffside towns overlooking the Mediterranean never fails to enchant. Your guided walking tour invites you to explore the vineyards and pine forests that share the hillscape, putting Cinque Terre into context. Of course, you’ll have a chance to sample the local cuisine and wine.
Return to Florence from Levanto.

Fountains, Squares, Vatican Museum and St. Peter's Basilica - Small Group
Enjoy a full-day walking tour in a small group (max 12 guests) of Rome and see its most symbolic sights, including lunch in a typical Italian restaurant. Departing from the Spanish Steps, dominated by the church of Trinita dei Monti, proceed to the Rococo splendor of the Trevi Fountain. Admire the fantasy creatures designed to embody movement. Your guide will explain how, according to tradition, if you throw a coin over your shoulder into the fountain you will eventually return to Rome. Toss in a penny and cross your fingers! Continue to the Pantheon (Temple of all The Gods), originally built to honor the 7 deities of Ancient Rome. Featuring the largest brick dome in the history of architecture, the Pantheon is considered a forerunner of all modern places of worship, and is the most copied of all classical buildings. Next stop is the Piazza Navona, built on the ruins of the Domitian Circus, and now adorned by Bernini's Fountain of the 4 Rivers. Today lunch is included at a typical Italian restaurant. Next it is time to skip the long lines at the Vatican Museum, St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. Your tour starts from the Vatican Museum, which houses the most important collection of ancient art in the world including about 1,400 rooms and over 65,000 works of art. The guide will take you to the best galleries to see the frescoes, statues, tapestries and historical maps by masters such as Botticelli, Perugino and Pinturicchio. You will also visit the magnificent Sistine Chapel to admire Michelangelo's ceiling and Last Judgement. As well as celebrated works by other famous painters including Botticelli and Ghirlandaio. At the end we will visit the Basilica of St. Peter.

Walk in Florence + Meet David
A pleasant walk in Florence is just what you need to be introduced to the city and its splendor and secular heritage! Get the chance to have a taste of one of the most important and charming cities of UNESCO World Heritage. Walk through the amazing center of Florence and discover its unique secular heritage and breathtaking beauty with an expert and fun tour guide. Our tour explores the historic and architectural evolution factors from the Roman foundation through medieval centuries and its Renaissance glorious period up to modern time Florence. Learn about the Medici: masters of Florence. The Medici family rose to become famous and revered throughout the Western world in the 14th and 15th Century. The Medici came to power at a time of great social and economic inequality. They were great disrupters. Their banking practices led to the creation of a middle class, making them unimaginably wealthy. The Medici in turn used their vast power and resources to challenge traditional thinking, ushering in a new era of revolutionary art and science such as the world had never seen: the Renaissance. It's a powerful story that resonates even now. Our professional guide will take you to some of the most important spots where the greatest minds and artists have stood and been inspired. During this walk, you will see Piazza della Signoria with the town hall Palazzo Vecchio, the Duomo, the Baptistery with its 'Gates of Paradise', Giotto's independent bell tower, Brunelleschi's Dome, Santa Trinita and Orsanmichele Church, Pontevecchio Bridge and the secret Vasari Corridor, as well as famous shopping streets and the Oltrarno -- the fourth and last district, the manual crafts neighbourhood. Also, stop for a surprise "tasting", a nice and delicious break during your pleasant walk.
Tour also includes the visit to Accademia Gallery
