TORONTO EXPERIENCE - WH
This four-day, first-class tailor-made Toronto area sampler trip is just the thing for a worry-free extended long weekend or midweek break. Encompassing a guided city tour, a full-day excursion to dramatic Niagara Falls, and some free time to explore the diverse neighbourhoods of Toronto, this compact tour takes care of all your needs, allowing you to focus on having fun.
Arrive in Toronto and check in to your hotel for a three-night stay: no unpacking and repacking needed, just make yourself at home. If time allows, explore one of the city’s many unique neighbourhoods. Some suggestions: shop among the bright lights and bustle of Yonge Street or trendy Queen West; wander Old Town or pedestrian-only Distillery Historic District, including the historic St. Lawrence Market; shop in the Yorkville fashion district; stop at the Art Gallery of Ontario, home to a remarkable 90,000 works; or listen to live music in the Entertainment District, home to the famous CN Tower observation deck.
A hop-on hop-off sightseeing tour promises to make your second day a busy one. Tour highlights include the Royal Ontario Museum, majestic Casa Loma, the CN Tower, and Chinatown. Your city tour ticket also includes a seasonal boat cruise of the Toronto harbour and islands. Dinner is your choice. You won’t lack for choices in this cosmopolitan metropolis.
Luckily this tour isn’t all go-go-go. You have plenty of time to continue exploring Toronto, perhaps visiting a new neighbourhood such as pedestrian-friendly Greektown, known as The Danforth, a hub of multicultural cuisine, shops, bars, and restaurants – Greek or otherwise. The area is home to one of the largest Greek communities in North America and was a filming location for scenes from “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.”
Enjoy a full-day excursion to Niagara Falls the next day, travelling to Niagara through the towns of Hamilton, St. Catharine’s, and the scenic wine region of the Niagara Peninsula. This day trip time allows lots of time at the falls and a thrilling boat tour for a unique view of the spectacular Horseshoe Falls. Enjoy a meal and a return trip along the beautiful Niagara Parkway. This scenic roadway hugs the bank of the Niagara River, travelling through peaceful vistas and quiet countryside and passing through the historic community of Niagara-on-the-Lake on your way back to Toronto. Pick a special place for dinner on your final night.
Overnight at your Toronto hotel for a final night, then head to the international airport – rested and restored – for your flight home.
