Sandwiched between India, China and Nepal, Bhutan is a unique country and was only opened up to the world at large in the 1970’s so some mystery still clings to it.which will be discovered on Bhutan vacations

It is approximately the size of Switzerland with a population somewhere between 650,000 and 1.4 million inhabitants. In other words, no one seems to be exactly sure.

Buddhism permeates Bhutan as can be seen through its monasteries, ubiquitous monks and the Tibetan-style culture which is everywhere. However, it also has some stunning scenery from snow-clad peaks (it is located in the central Himalayas) to wooded valleys, arable grasslands and jungles. The visitor will also marvel at the beautiful and exotic flora and fauna.

Bhutan is a wonderful country to experience colourful festivals which take place consistently and no visitor should miss seeing at least one on a Bhutan vacation. When you book your Bhutan tours with Goway we can arrange for you to experience one or more of these festivals.

The capital city, Thimpu, is situated in a beautiful and scenic valley. Its many attractions include architecturally interesting monasteries, museums and markets. Paro is an historic town also with many monasteries of interest.

Perhaps the following snippet of information might sum up what Bhutan really is all about. The country declared a Gross National Happiness quota as opposed to Gross National Product, an interesting take on their priorities.
