Cairns Tours, Vacation Packages & Travel Experiences

  • The Esplanade view in Cairns - a great spot to hang out on Australia vacations.

Cairns is a small city in the tropical north of Queensland and is best known as the Gateway to Great Barrier Reef, one of Australia’s most popular destinations. From Cairns, there is easy access to rainforests, tropical islands, reefs and mountains. Not far away, you can enjoy world-class diving or snorkeling getting close to schools of tropical fish and abundant marine life on your Australia vacation..

In the city itself, go for a stroll along the Promenade and discover the very large saltwater lagoon in the centre of the city. Explore the picturesque coastal drive towards Port Douglas and board a catamaran to the Great Barrier Reef.

Hop on the century old scenic train to the rainforest village of Kuranda, famous for its markets, and experience an aboriginal “dream-time” walk and cultural performance. Cairns is also a great place to go walking as there are nearly 200 walking tracks around the city.

To the north of the city are a number of excellent beaches perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

If time allows, travel to the Daintree Rainforest, the oldest surviving tropical rainforest. Where you can either simply relax or experience a unique rainforest tour.

At Goway we feel that all trips to Australia should include one of our Cairns tours. C’mon say G’day Downunder. Book one of our Australia vacations today and start exploring!
