Darwin Tours, Vacation Packages & Travel Experiences

  • Darwin - smallest and most northerly of the Australian capital cities is a great consideration for all Australia vacations.
  • Juvenile saltwater crocodiles at a commercial crocodile farm
  • Sunrise over a mangrove mudflat

Darwin is located on the tropical tip of Australia’s north coast. “Urban meets remote” sums up the character of this city on an Australia vacation. It is a melting pot of multicultural ethnic types and definitely friendly and laid-back. It has a large natural harbour which can be seen while strolling in Bicentennial Park which runs the full length of the waterfront.

Another place to visit is the Charles Darwin Park towering above Darwin with great views of the city. Visit vibrant Mitchell Street with its bars, pubs and live music. Enjoy an al fresco meal in the Cullen Bay Marina surrounded by luxury homes and sailboats. Visit East Point Reserve and see a monsoon vine forest and mangroves.

This is the land of nature and certainly of crocodiles. These can be seen at the Darwin Crocodile Farm with saltwater and fresh water species on display.

Three hours away from Darwin is the renowned Kakadu National Park with its wetlands, multitudinous rock art galleries that reveal hand prints of animals, hunters and dream time figures up to 50,000 years old, thundering waterfalls and escarpments with breathtaking views. It is also a place to take a boat cruise and get close to the wildlife that exists here.

Another way to see everything is to undertake one of the bushwalks or on our Darwin tours.

Close by is Arnhem Land, an isolated reserve surrounded by beautiful beaches and a Mecca for bird watchers and lovers of flora and fauna.

At Goway we feel that all trips to Australia should include one of our Darwin tours. C’mon say G’day Downunder. Book one of our Australia vacations today and start exploring!
