St Andrews Vacations, Tours & Travel Packages

  • Sunset in Saint Andrews

St. Andrews-By-The-Sea is Canada's oldest seaside resort town. The historic town is a national historic site of Canada, bearing many characteristics of a typical 18th-century British colonial settlement, including the original 1700s grid layout with its market square and classical architecture. The town sits at the southern tip of a peninsula extending into Passamaquoddy Bay.

This bustling town has developed into one of the premier tourist destinations in the Maritimes. Everything from modern and native art galleries, and specialty and gift shops, to interactive salmon hatcheries and a fascinating aquarium, delight visitors year-round. Or book a catamaran whale-watching trip and see whales, eagles, seals and porpoises on your way out to the open waters.

If seafood is to your liking, the small restaurants of the village serve up tantalizing delicacies from daily catches. Try oysters at Rossmount Inn Restaurant, or tapas at the well-reviewed Chandler Room - Wine Bar & Kitchen.

St. Andrews Historic District, historic Sheriff Andrews House, The Ross Memorial Museum (housed in a red-brick Georgian mansion), Kingsbrae Horticulture Garden, the imposing Algonquin Resort (one of Canada's most charming resorts), and Pendlebury Lighthouse are all worth a visit. Minister's Island National Historic Site of Canada is also nearby.
