Atlanta Tours, Vacations & Travel Packages

  • Atlanta played a significant role in both the Civil War and 1960's Civil Rights Movement
  • Atlanta played a significant role in both the Civil War and 1960's Civil Rights Movement

Atlanta is a big city getaway with a dose of Southern charm; despite its rapid urbanization, it remains a pretty city under a grand canopy of trees and elegant homes in distinct neighbourhoods. Both National Geographic and Lonely Planet Guide selected Atlanta as a top destination for 2022.

Its vibrancy awes visitors with a historical, commercial, and cultural vibe. Downtown Atlanta is home to The World of Coca-Cola where guests sample Coke products from around the world; the Georgia Aquarium, one of the world’s largest is the city’s showstopper; the CNN Centre offers a behind-the-scenes tour for news junkies. The Centre for Puppetry Arts, a one-of-a-kind wonderland for visitors of all ages is home to Jim Henson’s beloved Muppets and will have you smiling.

The American Civil Rights movement was born in Atlanta. The Martin Luther King Jr. historical site commemorates his life, work and legacy. The King Centre for Non-Violent Social Change is a testament to his moral vision and his long-lasting impact on American society. The Carter Presidential Library and Museum feature an exact replica of the Oval Office and Carter’s Nobel prize.

Atlanta is fast becoming the Hollywood of the South: The Hunger Games and Walking Dead were filmed in Atlanta with currently 50 active productions including Ozark in the works. Visitors can sign up for one of 80 movie site tours.

Atlanta is also a haven for foodies: traditional Southern delicacies of fried chicken on a biscuit, barbecue ribs, lemon pepper wings or peach-cobbler to wonderful international culinary fusions.
For music fans, Atlanta hosts more than 30 festivals annually; its musical heritage includes legends, Gladys Knight and Otis Reading, who made their careers in Hotlanta.
