What currency do I need on board the Russian Cruise?
You will need Russian Roubles (RUR), and you can even get them in your home country. Please enquire at your local post office or currency exchange agents. However, it is simple and convenient to change US dollars once you arrive in Russia there are currency exchange booths on nearly every street corner in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Other types of currency can only be changed in a bank. Traveller’s cheques can be changed, but often with difficulty. All major credit cards are generally accepted in Moscow and St. Petersburg, but not in the provinces. Will I require visas for my journey?
Advice on up to date requirements should be sought from the consulate office in your country of residence, or from your local travel agent. At present, a Visa is required for both US and Canadian travelers. A visa must be obtained before entering Russia and can be acquired easily online. For general guidance: Your passport must be valid for ten years and have at least six months remaining at the time of entry into your country of residence.
