Arrive Shannon

Fáilte to Ireland; Upon arrival, we will be met by our driver and guide in the arrival hall of Shannon Airport, before we depart for Galway.

Located at the mouth of the River Corrib on the west coast of Ireland, Galway is known as a city of art and culture with its lively atmosphere and its numerous festivals. It is also one of the few places where Irish remains a thriving language for everyday use.

We will begin our journey with a walking tour of the city, before embarking for a cruise on Lough Corrib - Which is the second largest inland fresh water lake in Ireland. The Loch is approximately 35 miles long, and at its widest point 8 miles, or at its narrowest a mere ¼ of a mile.

At the end of the day, we continue to our hotel, where we will enjoy the dinner tonight.

Westport to Limerick, Via Cliffs of Moher

Today, after breakfast, we depart Westport for Limerick, one of the larger cities in Ireland, Limerick has a picturesque location on the River Shannon, and is roughly halfway between Cork and Galway.

As we travel, we will stop and visit the Rathbaun Farm and enjoy some traditional tea and scones. Before continuing through the Burren Region.

The Burren landscape covers over 150 square kilometres and is one of Ireland’s 6 National Parks. The region is visually similar to a moonscape, yet shelters a mixture of flora and archaeological sites which have attracted visitors for centuries. Centuries of weathering has produced a terrain of fissured limestone pavements, disappearing lakes, terraced mountains, and underground cave systems. For millennia man has left his mark, megalithic tombs and cooking sites litter the pavements, while medieval tower houses and churches guard the valleys.

Next, we visit the picturesque Cliffs of Moher, which situated on the Atlantic Ocean and bordering the Burren region, and are one of Ireland's most spectacular sights. Standing 230 metres above the ground at their highest point, the Cliffs boast one of the most amazing views in Ireland. On a clear day, you can see the Aran Islands.

We the journey to our hotel in Limerick and check-in, before enjoying dinner.
