Duration
8 Days
Prices From:
US$ 11,719

DELUXE | TAILOR-MADE: This 8-day African safari vacation begins at the iconic Giraffe Manor before venturing into some of Kenya's best National Parks. Make your way from Nairobi to Samburu and the Masai Mara, immersing yourself in Kenya's diverse history, culture, and unique natural settings you won't find anywhere else.

Begin in Nairobi, where you’ll enjoy a day of leisure and a welcome dinner on the edge of Nairobi National Park. Enjoy a tour of Nairobi’s Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, where you’ll gain personal connections with the resident baby elephants and black and white rhino calves.

Continue to the Karen Blixen Museum and explore the former residence of the renowned Danish author who immortalized her life and the rolling Ngong Hills in her classic memoir Out of Africa. Stroll through the beautiful gardens before transferring to the iconic Giraffe Manor for the night.

The historic Giraffe Manor is one of Kenya’s most iconic buildings, sitting within the forest-clad Langata suburb. The manor is famed for its resident herd of Rothschild’s giraffes, occasionally poking their heads through the manor’s windows in hopes of a treat from the guests.

Take a short flight to the Samburu National Reserve, home of the Samburu people and unique wildlife. Enjoy two full days of morning and afternoon game drives, searching for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and more incredible wildlife roaming the open plains and riverbanks under the guidance of a local Samburu guide, sharing the history and culture of their people. Samburu hosts a unique collection of wildlife not found in the southern reserves, mainly the Grevy’s zebra, the reticulated giraffe, the Somali ostrich, the gerenuk, and the Beisa oryx.

Conclude your Kenya discovery in the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Kenya’s largest and most famous. Spend your days searching for the Big Five—lions, leopards, rhinoceros, elephants, and buffaloes—on morning and afternoon game drives across the open savannahs and riverbanks framed by the Mara’s rolling hills.
