Bangkok / Chiang Mai Connector

3 days

Instead of flying, travel overland from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and see the UNESCO World Heritage sites of ancient Thailand. Ayuthaya is the former capital of Siam from 1350 to 1767. The city was almost destroyed after an invasion by the Burmese, but today still remains the ruins of once so impressive temples and palaces of its glorious past. Sukhothai is one of Asia's most important historic sites and was the first capital of the Thai Kingdom in the 13th century.
