Kenya In Style: Nairobi, Samburu & Masai Mara

On arrival at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta Airport you will be met and transferred to your accommodation.

The balance of the day is at leisure to begin your exploration of Kenya's capital city.

This tour is a combination of the Daphne Sheldrick's Orphanage, Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Center, a visit to the Kazuri Bead Factory and lunch at Carnivore Restaurant or Macushla. You will then proceed to Daphne Sheldrick's Orphanage where the orphan elephants and rhinos are cared for. The Trust does not solicit funds and relies entirely on donations from our caring and compassionate friends. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust a small flexible charity, established in memory of David Sheldricks famous Naturalist and founding Warden of Kenya's giant Tsavo East National Park in which he served from 1948 until 1976. After witnessing the feeding of these orphaned elephants and rhinos at around 11:00hrs, This will be followed by visit to the former home of famous novelist Karen Von Blixen. The house contains many of her original pieces along with some pieces donated by the makers of the film, "Out of Africa". Then continue to the Giraffe Centre where you have the opportunity to feed the giraffe from an elevated platform. Giraffe Centre, initiated by AFEW, is an important conservation centre worth visiting. The Last stop for the day is Kazuri Beads. Started in 1975 to help support single mothers, Kazuri Beads provides employment opportunities to local communities and today, more than 300 Kenyan women work for the organization. During your tour, you'll wat the women shape, paint and string the bead by hand and you'll even be able to shop for your own unique piece of this intricate and beautiful Kenyan artform.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Wilson Airport for your light aircraft flight to Samburu National Reserve.

On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your camp. Rugged and remote, this wildlife reserve provides some the best and most colorful game viewing in the country.  Enjoy your first game drive in the reserve this afternoon before returning to camp for a sumptuous dinner.

Today is spent exploring the reserve with morning and afternoon game drives as you search out some of the best game viewing Kenya has to offer.

A second full day to explore this rugged landscape as you look for that extra special sighting on your included morning and afternoon game drives.

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip in time for your light aircraft flight to The Masai Mara. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your lodge. This afternoon, head out on your first game drive in the iconic Masai Mara, perhaps the only region in left in Kenya where visitors may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago.  

Today is spent exploring the reserve with your included morning and afternoon game drives.

A second full day to head out on game drives in the famous Masai Mara or simply relax at your lodge.

One final full day to spend on morning and afternoon game drives in the reserve as you search out that extra special sighting.

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip in time for your onward light aircraft flight to Nairobi Wilson Airport. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
