Day 2

Quito City Tour and Equator Line with Lunch

Your comprehensive city tour includes visits to residential neighborhoods at the northern end of the city, visiting the "Guapulo Mirador", passing through the 12 of October Avenue up to the Culture House and the Legislative Palace. This is where the rock murals that depict the history of Ecuador can be appreciated. The tour will then continue through the Gran Colombia Avenue to the Basilica Church. Next you will stop at the "San Juan Mirador" where you will experience beautiful views of Colonial Quito.

Journey north to the equator where your guide will show the differences in the gravitational influence either side of the equatorial line as well as a brief overview of indigenous cultures.
