Indonesia Weather
Due to its proximity to the Equator, Indonesia has a tropical climate that is very hot and humid. Weather can be divided into two seasons: rainy and dry. The rainy season usually runs from October through to April (although some places like Maluku experience the rainy season from March to April). Rain usually starts around noon and lasts into the afternoon. The dry season runs from May to September and days may experience some rain with tropical showers in the afternoon being common.
The temperature experienced on the islands is fairly constant except for exceptionally rainy evenings in the wet season when the temperature can drop. The coastal plains have an average temperature of 28˚C (82.4˚F), the inland and mountain areas experience an average of 26˚C (78.8˚F) while the higher mountain ranges average 23˚C (73.4˚F).
