Explore a classic Hawaii trio on this 10-day adventure through paradise. See the best of Honolulu and learn the sobering history of Pearl Harbour, come face to fin with turtles in Maui, and meet the wildlife of Hawaii’s incredible Big Island.

Begin your trip in Honolulu, with a full-day O'ahu sightseeing trip to discover the epicentre of Hawaii’s long history. Visit Byodo-In, a temple commemorating 100 years of Japanese immigration to Hawaii, and Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout. This day takes you well beyond Honolulu for sightseeing, so devote your day at leisure to seeing the sights of the capital that interest you, whether it’s Pearl Harbour and the USS Arizona, or hiking the Diamond Head trail.

Head to Maui, and visit Molokini, a marine preserve and bird sanctuary that protects a wide array of life. Then come face to fin with the amazing creatures of Turtle Town, snorkelling in the protected reefs and seeing Hawaiian green sea turtles up close. There’s lots to do on Maui, from watersports to spectacular hikes and eco excursions, so enjoy a full day at leisure here too.

Your last destination is the Big Island, from which Hawaii takes its name. Based in Kona, you’ll set out on an adventure to see some of the islands’ biggest wildlife in the form of whales (in season), dolphins and more. Snorkel in a variety of locations on Kealakekua Bay, and keep an eye out for pods of Hawaiian spinner dolphins as you enjoy lunch. With another full day at leisure, perhaps see the best of the Big Island’s volcanic landscape on a day trip through Volcanoes National Park, or simply take the day to relax and reflect on a fantastic trip.

Return to Kona Airport the following day for your onward flight.

Arrive Honolulu

O'ahu: Full-Day Island Sightseeing Day Trip by Bus

Uncover O'ahu’s majestic grandeur on a full-day excursion. Ride in a spacious, air-conditioned bus and be captivated by the unique beauty and the dramatic scenery that is found behind every corner. History comes alive before your eyes as you weave your way up the Koʻolau Mountains to the Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout where King Kamehameha I battled to unite the Hawaiian Islands.

Shortly after, gaze at the beautiful Byodo-In Temple, a replica of the Byodo-in Temple in Japan, built to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants in Hawaii.

Cruise along 7 miles of world-famous surfing beaches on Oahu’s north shore and sample the local flavors along the way.

Waimea Valley and its waterfalls await you, discover this beautiful place steeped with history, spirituality and island traditions. Your guide will take you through the botanical gardens of this vast and tranquil setting.

Learn how deeply embedded tradition is in today’s Hawaiian culture. Around the corner is the historic Dole Plantation surrounded by rows of pineapples and fields of sugarcane. Learn from your guide the rich plantation history and describe how this famously sweet plant became a symbol of Hawaii.

Day 3

Day at Leisure

Today is totally free and at leisure. You might just spend some time walking along vibrant Waikiki’s Kalakaua Avenue. A perfect place for shopping, dining, or enjoying the views and a drink.  

Day 4

Honolulu to Maui

A private transfer will take you from your hotel to Honolulu International Airport for your flight to Maui (flight not included in price).

On arrival in Maui pick up your car rental and drive to your hotel.

Balance of day at leisure to explore Maui at your own pace.

Day 5

South Maui: Eco-Friendly Molokini and Turtle Town Tour

Discover the underwater worlds of Molokini crater and Turtle Arches on this cruise from Maui. Get instruction on how to snorkel before exploring the reef. Learn about this biodiverse environment from professional naturalists. Eat a delicious breakfast before starting your trip.

Enjoy a continental breakfast including pastries, fruit, and coffee before sailing out to Molokini. Molokini, Maui’s iconic crescent-shaped islet, is a beautiful reef known for its crystal clear waters, abundant coral, colorful fish, and resting seabirds.

A protected marine conservation area, this volcanic crater is only accessible by boat with a certified tour operator and is the #1 snorkeling destination in Maui. Learn about the history and nature of your surroundings and the efforts being made to protect the ocean here.

Following your time at Molokini, head to Turtle Arches and enjoy a bonus snorkel site with its underwater lava formations and frequent turtle sightings. Watch for sea turtles, eels, octopi, and other reef fish.

Once you are done snorkeling and have worked up an appetite, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch of grilled chicken, burgers, and salad before heading back to Ma'alaea Harbor.

Day 6

Day at Leisure

After an exciting snorkeling experience on Molokini, maybe today is all about relaxing around the pool. But since you have a car, why not drive up to Kapalua and check out its famous Plantation Golf course.

Day 7

Maui to Kona

Today you make your way from the hotel to the airport to start the journey to Kona (flight not included in price).

On arrival at Kona's Ellison Onizuka International Airport pick-up your rental car and drive to the hotel.

The balance of the day is at leisure to relax or start exploring The Big Island.

Day 8

Big Island: Morning Snorkel Sail to Captain Cook’s Monument

The Hoku Nui sets sail from Keauhou Bay at 8:30 am. Keep a watchful eye out for Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins, Hawaiian Humpback Whales (seasonal Dec-April), and other marine life while you sail down the beautiful Kona Coast. As you enjoy your tropical style breakfast, entering Historic Kealakekua Bay, you will observe the world-famous Captain Cook Monument (sail time approx. 45 min.) Your snorkeling adventure will begin in the pristine waters and the vibrant reef of the Marine Sanctuary of Kealakekua Bay.

Your captain will select the best snorkeling sites in Kealakekua Bay, while the friendly and professional crew members provide site briefings and historical facts. The crew members also provide snorkel tips and basic instructions to guests of all ages and experience levels. Life jackets, floatation noodles, and viewfinder boards as well as masks, fins, and snorkels are provided aboard the Hoku Nui. The crew members will help you enter and exit the water if needed and will provide fish identification cards. They will even take you on a guided snorkeling tour and have lunch ready when you have snorkeled up an appetite. Snorkel time is approximately one hour at each location.

Make sure to bring an underwater camera to capture the colorful schools of fish, pods of spinner dolphins that are also commonly spotted in the bay, and the landscaped ledges of ancient lava flows. You will then have a moment for another breathtaking view of the bay while you enjoy a sumptuous lunch with beverages. Exiting the bay, you set sail for “Red Hill” (weather permitting). The Red Hill area is home to unique underwater lava formations such as archways and lava tubes, and more snorkeling with schools of vibrant sea life. As your snorkel adventure comes to an end, you will set sail back to Keauhou Bay arriving by 1 pm (approx.), with majestic memories of your Sea Paradise trip that will last a lifetime.

Day 9

Day at Leisure

Today is your day ay leisure, but perhaps you are keen to really explore more of the island by car. How about driving to the other side of the island to Hilo? Saddle Road is the shortest route and takes about 1.5 hours. Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea saddle the road and you get to an altitude of 6,700 ft.

Day 10

Depart Kona

Drive to Kona International Airport and return your car rental before your flight home unless you plan to extend your stay.
