FIRST-CLASS | SMALL GROUP: Embark on an awe-inspiring small group journey through Jordan’s desert landscapes, historical wonders, and cultural treasures. Connecting you from the historic sites of Petra and Jerash to the natural beauty of Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea, this intimate tour showcases the best of this Middle Eastern nation.

This 9-day Jordan vacation begins in the capital Amman, where you’ll be based for three nights to explore nearby historical sites as well as the city’s own ruins dating back thousands of years. Stroll the colonnade street and under Hadrian’s Arch in the Roman city of Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world. See the mountaintop Citadel and Roman Theatre of Amman before touring the markets and joining a private cooking class to prepare an Arabian feast. Gaze upon the Sea of Tiberias and the Golan Heights in the ancient town of Umm Qais before seeing the remains of ancient Christian churches in Pella. Learn about Jordan’s emerging viticulture industry at JR The Wine Experience, sampling some vintages for yourself, before you leave the Amman area behind.

The mosaic town of Madaba is home to an ancient Christian population and the world’s oldest map of the Holy Land, a remarkable mosaic preserved in fragments on the floor of St. George Church. Head up to the windy peak of Mount Nebo to stand where Moses once gazed upon the Holy Land for the first time. Then descend into the black rock and red sand valley of Wadi Rum, the iconic desert associated with Lawrence of Arabia and countless other Hollywood movies. A traditional underground zarb dinner, stargazing experience, night in a Bedouin camp, and sunrise jeep tour across the desert provides the ultimate taste of Wadi Rum’s splendour. Head north to Petra to walk through the Siq and witness the first views of the Treasury reveal itself through the cleft in the rock. Explore this ancient masterwork and return at night to view the Treasury lit up by candlelight before continuing to the Red Sea city of Aqaba to relax in a seaside resort and explore the water on a snorkel cruise. Onwards to the Dead Sea to cap off your Jordanian vacation with some spa n’ R time in the salty waters, ending your day in the ancient town of As-Salt for a tour and farewell dinner.
