Bangkok Wellness Package

Duration
8 Days
Prices From:
US$ 882

This week-long Bangkok vacation bases you at the health-focused Well Hotel. Relax and be pampered in between enjoying the best Bangkok has to offer in sightseeing, food, and culture.

This 8-day trip lets you explore Bangkok in detail, with a focus on its many flavours, and a bike tour to take you ‘behind the scenes.’

Arrive in Bangkok and check into the Well Hotel, designed for health and wellness with a fitness centre, swimming pool, and spa among its facilities. Then embark on a tour through some of Bangkok’s most impressive temples, including the Temple of the Golden Buddha, Wat Po, home to the Reclining Buddha, and lesser known Wat Benchamabopit, noteworthy in Thailand for being made from Italian marble.

Time to discover Bangkok through your taste buds on a street food and Chinatown walking tour. Meet local chefs and producers, trying Thai and Chinese delicacies from a wide variety of stalls, before crossing the Chao Phraya River to Rachawong pier. The following day, try your own hand at Thai cuisine at the Blue Elephant cooking school. Choose your own ingredients with the help of your instructor, and enjoy your creations when you’re done.

Ready to see a side of Bangkok largely unknown to tourists? Bike your way through a fresh market and visit the source of some of the unique flavours you’ve been enjoying. Then take a canal trip through southern Bangkok where the busy city seems a world away. Speaking of relaxation, your last two full days are at leisure. Explore some more of Bangkok, take a day trip out to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital, or simply relax.

Day 2

Half Day City and Temples Tour Private

Today you'll enjoy a half-day guided tour of three of the three most distinguished temples in Bangkok. Wat Trimitr, the Temple of the Golden Buddha, houses a 5.5 ton statue of Buddha made from solid gold. It is a fine example of Sukhothai art, and was accidentally discovered in a layer of stucco during construction of the temple. Passing through Chinatown, your next stop will be Wat Po, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, which is the largest and oldest in Bangkok. Wat Po also houses a famous Thai massage school. Your last stop will be at the magnificent Wat Benchamabopit, built with white Italian marble from Carrara.

Half Day Bangkok Street Food and Chinatown Walking Tour

The best and tastiest way to fast-track your understanding of this city's cuisine is to embark on a walking tour to sample the local food. Sample a mouthwatering variety of options at street food stalls, meet local Thai and Chinese chefs, and chat with local producers. Start at Tha-Prachan pier next to the Grand Palace for dishes like spicy lemongrass noodles with pork and fish balls, special squid cakes, yellow curry with beef or chicken, garlic bread, and Thai iced coffee. Take the ferry across the Chao Phraya River to Rachawong pier to taste even more dishes, such as lotus root juice and Thai-Japanese pancakes. Continue on to the Yaowarat area, also known as Chinatown, to taste Chinese noodles with crispy pork, pae guay (a dessert made with gingko) and fresh coconut juice.

Day 5

Bangkok Full Day Bike Tour SIC

Discover the daily life of locals on this bicycle tour that will take you to an unseen part of Bangkok. Start by riding through a fresh market, where you'll see a variety of goods for sale from smoked pig heads to beautiful flowers. Further along, stop at the remains of the defense walls built during the colonial era -- walls built to prevent Western countries from invading Thailand. Visit a small factory which produces meat balls used in many Thai soups, then continue over concrete pathways, through scenic parks, and orchid farms, before arriving at the pier where long-tail boats are waiting. A spectacular canal trip will lead you to the most southern district of Bangkok, where it is difficult to believe that you are actually still in the metropolis! Finish the tour with a visit to a small incense factory and a typical Thai-Chinese flower farm. Throughout the day we will stop every hour to rest and hydrate. If you love cycling and enjoy nature, this trip will leave you with some unforgettable memories of Bangkok.
