A tranquil oasis in the Gulf of Thailand with some of the best beaches in the country, Koh Pha Ngan offers clear blue waters ideal for swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling or just relaxing.
Ko Pha Ngan is an island in the Gulf of Thailand reached usually by catamaran from Ko Samui. It is a journey of some 15 kilometres/9 miles in length. The island has a reputation as a “party” island. This is because of its monthly Full Moon Party activities which attract many backpackers and young travellers. However, it would be unfair to say this is all there is to Ko Pha Ngan. There are some quiet bays with white sand beaches and lots of activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling and other watersports such as sailing, surfing and kayaking. In the interior is some attractive scenery which includes waterfalls and lookouts. One can certainly go hiking here.
