The tour begins with a visit on foot to the traditional market where the Tahitians sell fish, fruit and crafts. Feel the warm atmosphere and shop around for typical souvenirs. Then you will head to the Cathedral of Papeete and the Vaima Center to enjoy its numerous shops. Stop to see the exterior of City Hall; inaugurated in 1990, this colonial palace and garden has become a famous symbol downtown Papeete. End the tour by visiting the Black Pearl Museum. The only museum in the world dedicated to the pearl in general and the black pearl in particular.
