What is a “Junk Boat”?
A junk is a traditional Chinese sailing vessel still in use today.
Are there any dress requirements?
No! Feel free to dress as you please.
What if I am vegetarian or cannot eat seafood?
At the time of booking, please indicate your food restrictions/allergies and we can cater to you provided there is advance notice.
Does the cruise price include a transfer from Hanoi to Halong Bay?
Yes, you will be picked up and dropped off at your hotel in Hanoi (approx.. 4 hours)
What’s the best time to visit Halong Bay?
The best time to visit is during spring or fall. Because the bay is situated in the northern part of the country, it can get colder in late fall and winter. However, generally speaking, Halong Bay can be visited all year round. You should be aware that the cruise may encounter sporadic cancellations between July to September due to storms.
Do we need to book an extra room if we have children?
The maximum number of adults in one cabin is two. However, Bhaya Cruises can accommodate infants with travel cots sharing with their parent's cabin or an extra mattress for children under 12 years old. Travel cots and extra mattresses are available. As soon as you have made your reservation, please make a note directly in the booking in order to check the availability and reserve a cot or extra mattress.
What is the cruise policy for children?
Occupancy of a room is limited to two adults and one child. Bhaya Cruises may however allow children to stay in the room with their parents, either with or without an extra mattress. Our policy is not to charge for children under 2 years of age. One extra child between 2 and 11 staying with its parents with the existing beds is charged at US$ 80/ child/ night. Two children below 12 staying in a separate cabin will be charged 75% of the adult price. Children from 12 years older will be charged the same as adults.
How many total guests can check into a room or suite?
The maximum occupancy for any room or suite is 02 adults and 01 children under 12 years old. Additional charges may apply for occupancy of more than two guests per room or suite.
Do itineraries change?
Every effort will be made to follow the itinerary you have received but sometimes due to weather conditions, your itinerary may need to be revised.
