Day 2

FULL DAY CITY TOUR

This morning, after breakfast, our English-speaking Guide will meet us in the lobby of our hotel. We will have the opportunity to discover the spectacular and lively metropolis of Dubai on our full-day city tour.

The city, developed from a small fishing village on the Dubai Creek, nowadays presents itself as a glamorous metropolis in the Arabian Gulf. We will drive by Jumeirah Mosque and the Jumeirah Coastline with a stunning view of Burj Al Arab, one of the world’s top luxury hotels.

Later we will visit Madinat Souk. The Madinat Souk in Jumeirah combines the traditional Middle Eastern shopping culture of stands, barrows and stalls with a mix of boutique brands and souvenir gift shops.

Our tour will continue on to visit one of new Dubai’s most prestigious areas – The Dubai Marina with its high-class boutiques, restaurants and many skyscrapers.

We will then drive on the largest man-made Island "The Palm Jumeirah" where we will have a photo stop opposite the luxurious Atlantis the Palm Hotel: a magnificent oceanic tribute to a mythological age.

Then we will head to Dubai Mall home of state-of-the-art aquariums and the world’s tallest tower Burj Khalifah. No building in modern history has aroused so much curiosity and intrigue as has Burj Khalifa. With our “At The Top” ticket, our Burj Khalifa visit will answer all your questions from your vantage point on levels 124 & 125 of the world’s tallest buildings. We will leave the reception area aboard the 65-metre-long travelator on a trip that transports us through time, from the earliest days of Dubai to the present. Pause briefly at a unique viewing point for our first close-up view of the soaring Burj Khalifa, seen through a skylight framing its awe-inspiring height. Begin our vertical ascent to the observation deck in a high-speed elevator, travelling at 10 metres per second. As the doors open, floor-to-ceiling glass walls provide a breath-taking unobstructed 360-degree view of the city, desert and ocean.  By night, sparkling lights and stars compete for your attention. Special telescopes provide virtual time-travel visions of the scenes beyond and below.

We then take time to visit the Dubai Aquarium to explore the Aquarium Tunnel, Underwater Zoo and the Underwater Observatory. After a full morning of incredible sights, we take a break for some free time for lunch and relaxing (own expense.)

This afternoon our first stop is at the creekside to witness the beautiful skyline of Dubai. We then take a guided walking tour in the Bastakiah area - step back in time and enjoy the atmosphere of Bastakiah, one of the oldest traditional Emirati neighborhoods set in Bur Dubai. Our final activity is via water taxi

to the bustling Spice souk with its vast array of authentic Arabian spices, incenses and traditional perfumes. The big entrance of the Gold souk will also draw us in with its vast array of gold and diamonds for purchase.

We return to our hotel to freshen up before we transfer to the wharf for our evening Dhow dinner cruise

What could be more fun than a dinner aboard a dhow as its slips silently along Dubai Creek by moonlight? We cruise aboard one of these traditional wooden vessels that offers an intriguingly different view of this amazing city. We will see all the splendid modern architecture of Dubai along with Sheikh Saeed's house, the birthplace of Sheikh Rashid and the Heritage village are reminiscent of days gone by.

Return to hotel at approximately 10:30 pm for our overnight.

Day 3

AFTERNOON DESERT SAFARI

We have a free morning to explore the city on our own. This afternoon at approximately 3 pm, we will be picked up for our amazing desert safari. The mysterious desert beckons us for a magical evening out - an adventure we'll never forget. Leaving behind the bustle of the city in the afternoon, our safari guides transport us by four-wheel-drive vehicles for a thrilling journey over rolling dunes through the Dubai Desert Sands deep into the heart of the desert. From the crest of a high dune, watch the sun cast its orange glow over the vast expanse of rippling sand all round us as it sets. Like a shimmering mirage in the distance, we will see the flickering lights of our camp where a traditional Arabian welcome awaits us. The encampment conjures up images of Arabian nights. As we relax on comfortable low cushions in Beduoin tents with our pre-dinner drinks, we can choose to have our hands painted with intricate henna designs, experience a short camel ride, or just enjoy the aromatic shisha. While we enjoy a feast of grilled meats, fresh salads and delectable Arab sweets served under a galaxy of stars, we will be entertained by the bewitching belly dancer swaying to the haunting strains of Arabian music. We won't want this enchanting evening to end.
