If your journey includes Paris, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Germany, then the high-speed Thalys train is your ticket. The “red train” Thalys provides direct links to 17 cities in all, and you can travel from Paris to Brussels in under ninety minutes. The Thalys makes over 50 round trips per day, so there are ample trains to suit travel schedules. And, with speed on your side, you’ll have plenty of time to take in all of the ambience and the attractions—not to mention those wonderful window views.

Thalys offers a wide variety of other onboard accommodations and services. So get ready to relax, stretch out in your reclining seat, and take in the view of the changing skyline. All first-class Thalys travelers going to Paris Gare du Nord from Amsterdam (or other cities) can book a taxi while still on the train. So the taxi will be waiting upon arrival at the station!

Economy

Seating - One Economy class trip on the Thalys and you’ll understand what has made taking the train such a popular travel option for people of all ages. Not only does an Economy ticket reserve a seat, but it gives you one with generous legroom and attendants in each car. Simply, you don’t have to suffer to save. And in addition to the scenic outside, there’s the scenic inside. A friendly, comfortable atmosphere and helpful staff will serve drinks and snacks available for purchase at your seat. Sure, it may be called economy. But only your wallet will feel how inexpensive it really is.

Meals & Concessions - Who can enjoy anything when they’re hungry? That’s why we’ve put extra effort into making sure the Thalys bar car has food and drinks that will do as much to satisfy your appetite for good food as the train does to satisfy your appetite for adventure. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, you’ll find a selection of hot dishes, sandwiches, sweet and savory snacks, salads, hot and cold drinks, as well as organic and fair trade products available for purchase.
Enjoy them at the bar or feel free to take them back to your comfortable seat. Either way, your trip will be that much more delicious.
