Due to its location near the equator, Uganda offers a warm climate almost year-round, this climate is moderated by Uganda’s altitude. The country is sunny for most of the year with temperatures rarely rising above 29˚C (84.2˚F). The rainy seasons are between April and May and then again between September and November. The dry months are from December to February and June through August. The wettest month tends to be April while the hottest months are usually December through February. Thanks to Uganda’s elevation, the humidity is not as high as expected and is usually low outside of the rainy seasons. The mountain areas are cooler and the top of Mount Elgon, Uganda’s highest peak is often covered in snow.
