FIRST-CLASS | SMALL-GROUP: First, shop and explore the futuristic city of Dubai and head on your food pilgrimage as you walk through the streets of Dubai with your guide, tasting local cruising as you go. Next stop - The Holyland. Israel is a captivating destination and a must-visit for any serious globetrotter. Learn the amazing story of this land and its people.
Embrace all the flavours of the world’s most ambitious city, then embark on an Israel adventure with this perfect 11-day Middle East pairing.
Fly to Dubai, home to the world’s tallest building and the Middle East's nexus of sky-high ambition. It’s tempting to spend all your time shopping, but a half-day tasting tour invites you to sample the many flavours, stories, and cultures that have come together to make Dubai what it is today. With your free time, zip to the top of the human-made world at Burj Khalifa, or take a 4x4 safari into the desert for an unforgettable Arabian night.
Your next destination is Tel Aviv, the beating heart of modern-day Israel. Brush up a little on your biblical history before you arrive, because your journey takes you to Caesarea, Megiddo, and Acre, before going on to the Sea of Galilee, the site of many of Christ’s fabled miracles. Visit the Mount of Beatitudes (of ‘Sermon on’ fame) and tour the Golan Heights.
Nazareth is your next stop, with visits to key sites in Christ’s early life. You’ll also visit the newly uncovered Roman city of Beit Shean, then follow the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem. A holy city to three of the world’s great religions, many find a visit to Jerusalem to be a transformative experience. Visit the Old City and see the Wailing Wall, Temple Mount, and the Church of Holy Sepulchre, where Christ was crucified and entombed. Then explore New Jerusalem, including a somber but profoundly moving visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial, the Israel Museum, and the Shrine of the Book, home to the Dead Sea Scrolls. A half-day trip to Bethlehem completes this memorable day.
Drive to the Qumeran Caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were initially found, and go on to Massada, the legendary site of a Roman siege etched into Jewish memory. After taking in all that history, chill out on the Dead Sea, floating on its salty waters and absorbing the nutrients therein. Return to Tel Aviv for your onward flight, or stick around for a few days to discover all ‘The Bubble’ of modern Israel has to offer.
