This 10-day Zimbabwe vacation takes you on safari through the grasslands of Hwange National Park before you see mighty Victoria Falls. It features first-class accommodation and small group tours.
Your trip to Zimbabwe begins with a bush flight to Hwange National Park. Settle into Jozibanini Camp in the park’s southwest, your home for the next three nights. Spend your days exploring the sand dunes, grasslands, and bush in search of elephants, lions, and other exotic wildlife. Each day is full of activities, including traditional game drives, bush walks, and the option to explore the park by mountain bike. Continue to Bomani Tented Lodge for another three nights. Spend each day taking part in tailor-made activities, including game drives, night safaris, and tours of nearby villages and schools.
After your Zimbabwe safari, board the Elephant Express and ride the rails to Dete, spotting wildlife outside the window along the way. In Victoria Falls, you’ll settle into a deluxe lodge along the Zambezi River. Tour the Zimbabwean side of Victoria Falls, the world’s mightiest waterfall system. You’ll hike through the rainforest and enjoy several different vantage points of this massive waterfall, including the Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, and the Boiling Pot. You’ll have another day at leisure to cruise the Zambezi, explore the town, or tour the surrounding environment.
At the end of your stay, connect to the airport for onward travel.

Upon arrival at Victoria Falls International Airport, connect to your light aircraft flight to Libuti Airstrip in Hwange National Park. You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your camp for overnight. Time permitting, enjoy afternoon game viewing activity before sunset.

Jozibanini Camp is situated in the remote south west of Hwange National Park in a wilderness unused for nearly 20 years; only the wildlife and the Parks rangers who look after it frequent this area, once roamed by San people. This is a small, truly exclusive camp in a truly wild place, providing a unique, untamed wilderness experience.
The ecosystem here is semi-desert akin to the Kalahari in neighbouring Botswana. Ancient windblown fossil sand dunes are separated by shallow valleys where elephant paths have compacted the terrain, providing Imvelo with the opportunity for a unique experiment of game viewing by mountain bike. Jozibanini to Bomani Tented Lodge
After breakfast at your camp, board your vehicles and head out on the 'pump run' to Bomani. This is actually an extended game drive between the two camps (approx. 6 hours) and includes a stop for a picnic lunch along the way. Enroute, you may also stop to resupply waterholes. Arrive at your camp late afternoon.

Choose to be woken with coffee in bed, before joining your guide on a sunrise game drive inside the Park or, opt for a relaxing lie-in before visiting the nearby village and school for insight into the daily lives of the local people. Our friendly and knowledgeable guides will take you on walks or drives inside this truly wild and remote region of Hwange National Park, famous for its giants, the elephants, and a plethora of other wildlife. Other activities include all day 'pump runs', night drives, the Look Up Hide and transfers into and out of camp on our one of a kind Elephant express rail car. If you are looking for an exciting safari destination - in a remote and exclusive area - with great game viewing all year round, and one that actually makes a difference to the local communities and wildlife.

Today is spent exploring the 5000 acre private reserve and surrounding Hwange National Park. Choose from the many activities included in your stay such as Game drives, night drives, walks on the concession, visits to the look up hide, village visits and tour of a local school (not available during school holidays). There is also an option for Horseback riding (at additional cost).

Hwange to Victoria Falls
After breakfast at your camp, transfer by road to Ngamo Siding to board the Elephant Express for your journey to Dete. This ingeniously rebuilt rail car has re-invented transfers between camps. Enjoy lunch onboard as you travel along the rails next to Hwange National Park. You will be met on arrival at Dete and transferred to your Victoria Falls Hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Victoria Falls
After breakfast this morning, embark on your morning tour of Victoria Falls. Tour the Zimbabwean side, with numerous spectacular vantage points along the width of the Falls, and the sight of this astounding gift of nature, simply takes your breath away. Walk through the permanent, beautifully misty rain forest which flanks the Falls, stopping to marvel at the principal sites as it cascades to the depths below the Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Rainbow Falls, the Boiling Pot, Cataract Island and Livingstone Island. We'll stand and watch, feel and listen to the spray and thunderous noise, as millions of litres of water tumble over the Falls into a series of narrow gorges below. The seventh Natural Wonder of the World puts on the most dramatic show for you, and you'll be privileged to have watched it.
