A unique expanse of 12,000 square kilometres, the world’s largest salt flats surprise many visitors with their rich assortment of wildlife and industries. Over 3 days, explore the Uyuni Salt Flats before crossing the border to Chile, home to spectacular San Petro de Atacama.
Cross the Salar de Uyuni to Isla Incahuasi, an eerie, cacti-covered rock formation that rises from the vast white plain. Pay a visit to the mummies of Coquesa before crossing to Tahua. The second day is spent exploring the most spectacular and isolated sights of this awe-inspiring region, including the flamingos at Laguna Colorada, ‘the red lagoon’. Even more impressive is Laguna Verde, the spectacular green lake in the shadow of the Licancabur Volcano. Your journey ends across the border in Chile at San Pedro de Atacama, where you might just find the start of a whole new journey.

Uyuni to Incahuasi Island to Tahua
One of the greatest ''natural wonders'', the Uyuni salt flats are the biggest salts lakes in the world. 12,000 square kilometres of salt at an elevation of 12,000ft, create a truly unforgettable experience as the flats reflect the sapphire-blue Altiplano sky. Depart from Uyuni and drive to Colchani, a village on the shores of Uyuni Salt Flat where locals still extract salt in a traditional way. Next continue to Incahuasi Island, lost in the middle of the salt flat and covered with giant cactus. See the Coquesa Mummies before heading to Tahua.

Villamar to San Pedro de Atacama Chile
Leave Villa Mar for Laguna Colorada at 4,300m, the geyser field of Sol de Manana, Laguna Verde, which is overlooked by the awesome cone-shaped Licancabur Volcano, and Hito Cajon. You then cross the Chilean border arriving in San Pedro de Atacama. Here, your adventure ends.
