Day 1

Welcome to Darwin

Visit Mindil Beach Sunset Markets, the heart of Darwin’s cultural melting pot and truly epitomises the word ‘multicultural’. Over 200 unique stalls, some include arts, crafts, jewellers, masseurs, leatherworkers, tarot readers and food stalls offering delicacies such as Barramundi, Kangaroo & Crocodile or indulge in international cuisines from around the world. Enjoy a picnic dinner on the beach while experiencing a spectacular tropical sunset. (Food at own expense).

Day 2

Tiwi Aboriginal Cultural Experience

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit a modern-day Aboriginal community. It will provide you with an insight into the Tiwi people’s rich culture and lifestyle. The tour will reveal scenes seldom seen by many outsiders and will leave you with a lifetime memory. Many cities are blessed with island destinations close by, but only Darwin has the Tiwi Islands.

Day 3

Darwin to Kakadu National Park

Explore one of the world’s greatest nature reserves and World Heritage Area listed for its cultural and natural heritage. The name Kakadu derived from the Gagudju speaking people, a language spoken in the park until the turn of the 20th century.

In Ubirr, climb up through the ancient Aboriginal rock art galleries, believed to be 20,000 years old, to the lookout for a spectacular view over the surrounding wetlands

Day 4

Kakadu National Park to Katherine

Early morning, join a cruise on Yellow Water Billabong, Kakadu’s most famous wetland. The picturesque yellow waters are home to thousands of saltwater crocodiles and up to 60 species of colourful birdlife.

Wander around the Nourlangie Rock art site. It has provided shelter to the indigenous people for many thousands of years, and while taking shelter, the rock evolved into a canvas that illustrates the traditional owner's deep spiritual culture.

Day 5

Katherine to Darwin

Enjoy a morning cruise through Katherine Gorge, a stunning network of thirteen gorges carved from billion-year-old sandstone.  You will be at its heart among freshwater Crocodiles, wonderful birdlife and amazing scenery.

On the way back to Darwin, we will stop at Leliyn (Edith Falls)

Indigenous Litchfield Spectacular

Discover world class beauty, fascinating pioneer heritage and a rich Aboriginal tradition with an Indigenous guide and countless generations of history in the Litchfield area. Swim at iconic waterfalls, and lunch serving barramundi, crocodile and kangaroo.

Darwin to Alice Springs

Early flight from Darwin to Alice Springs (own arrangements)

Standley Chasm Angkerle Atwatye a "must see" spectacular geological and significant cultural icon of Central Australia.

To share our appreciation of this beautiful cultural site, this half-day tour is guided by an Arrente local to provide visitors with the most authentic and knowledgeable understanding of local flora and fauna, as well as our spiritual connection to this ancient land.

Enjoy a guided walk up to Standley Chasm and hear about geology, flora, fauna, bush medicine, bush tucker and weaponry.

Later, craft your own souvenir in the dot painting workshop. Learn the traditional techniques and significance behind them in Western Arrernte artwork.

Alice Springs to Ayers Rock

Continue your journey by road to Uluru.

Stop at Curtin Springs and join the paper tour. A tour of the production process in the Old Abattoir and learn how we harvest the grass and produce our diverse range of papers. See how this remote location can provide what is required to produce the paper – the grasses, water, equipment and imagination.

Entered into the Australian Tourism Hall of Fame, Sounds of Silence offers the best of the Red Centre distilled into four magical hours. An evening of dining under the sparkling outback sky.

Day 10

A True Aboriginal Experience

Join the Traditional Uluru Family in their homelands and
experience their culture and family history. Hear from the Traditional owners themselves on how Paddy Uluru fought for Aboriginal lands rights to where Uluru is today. We want you to enjoy more than just the tourist side of the rock.

This tour will either take place in the morning or afternoon depending on the season.

Note: Winter season: (1 Apr - 31 Oct): 1pm / 2pm depending on sunset. Summer season: (1 Nov - 31 Mar) - 7am departure.

Reef Snorkel with Indigenous Rangers

With Dreamtime Dive and Snorkel, the experience will combine the thrill of the reef with the knowledge of the Indigenous owners of the land and sea. In addition to snorkelling over colourful coral, Indigenous Sea Rangers
offer live demonstrations of traditional dances and the didgeridoo.

Note: Dreamtime Dive currently operates on Wed & Sat only (Subject to change). Other reef trips available.

Explore Yuku Yalanji Country

Follow your Aboriginal guides explore Kuku Yalanji country, the only place where two world heritage sites meet, the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef and share the cultural connection the people have with their land.

Learn about the environment, different bush foods and medicines. Sample some seasonal bush tucker while appreciating the history, culture and traditions of our Australian Aboriginal people.
