Wales is rich in history and natural beauty with its beautiful landscapes which include mountains and a coastline of its stunning national parks. There are a number of outstanding and imposing castles. Wales is often referred to as "the land of song", and is noted for its harpists, male voice choirs, and many popular solo artists. The principal Welsh festival of music and poetry is the annual National Eisteddfod which provides an opportunity for the singers and musicians of the world to perform.

English is spoken throughout the country but Wales also has its own language, Welsh which  you will hear spoken less often in the south or east but in the north or west, you will often overhear conversations between locals in Welsh

Some of Wales' most important scenery can be found within its National Parks. There are 3 main National Parks, Snowdonia National Park in North Wales which includes Wales’ highest mountain, Snowdon, Brecon Beacons National Park in Centr4al Wales which offers spectacular mountain scenery and castles and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in South Wales which has stunning coastal scenery.

Cardiff is the capital of Wales and is a lively and modern city. It is becoming one of Wales’ hot spots as the city hosts large festivals with al fresco dining and drinking becoming ever more popular due to large areas of pedestrianization. It has a reputation as a city of castles having 5 different castles within its surroundings.
