Scotland Culture
Shaking hands is the most common form of greeting, with a kiss on the cheek once parties know each other better. While the casual dress is fine in everyday life, some clubs and restaurants do not allow jeans or running shoes, so it is best to check before visiting.
Language
While English is the official language of Scotland, Gaelic is spoken in parts of Scotland.
Religion
Christian denominations (Church of England, Roman Catholicism, Protestantism, Presbyterian etc) have the largest followings in Britain. There are, however, growing Muslim, Sikh, Jewish and Hindu communities.
