Macau Geography and Maps
Both Hong Kong and Macau are considered two special administrative regions (SARs) of China. Macau is located 60 km (37 mi) southwest of Hong Kong. It is made up of the Macau Peninsula and the islands of Taipa and Coloane. Macau is generally flat land although there are steep hills. The highest point is Alto de Coloane with an altitude of 170.6 m (559.7 ft). Macau has grown over the years thanks to land reclamation while bridges link the peninsula to other islands.
