Mozambique - Weather
The climate of Mozambique is typically tropical and is influenced by monsoons of the Indian Ocean. There are two seasons in Mozambique: winter, or the dry season from April to September, and summer, or the wet season from October to March.
April to September is usually cool and dry with temperatures on the coast averaging between 24-27˚C (75.2-80.6˚F). Temperatures in the interior part of the country are usually around 5 degrees cooler. These months typically enjoy around eight hours of sunshine a day and humidity of between 60-70%.
October to March is hot, sticky and rainy. Temperatures range from 27-31˚C (80.6-87.8˚F), but cooler in the interior. The northern coastline tends to be even hotter with temperatures soaring into the 30s. The humidity starts to build up in the morning culminating in a storm in the afternoon (rainfall averages over 200mm/month during the rainy season).
