Overview

Take a trip to Chitwan National Park on your Nepal Vacation

When on Nepal tours, visit Chitwan National Park, the first national park in Nepal. Established in 1973, it is located 160 km southwest of Kathmandu.

Delegated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, Chitwan National Park covers an area of 932 sq. km and is situated in the subtropical Inner Terai lowlands of south-central Nepal in the Chitwan District.

Once a rampant hunting ground for Nepal’s ruling class, Chitwan National Park now features a rhinoceros sanctuary, as well as diverse ecosystems, vegetation, and fauna, including elephants, rhinoceros, tigers, leopards, deer, hundreds of bird and reptile species.

Wildlife can be explored by elephant rides, jeep safaris, rafting tours, or guided jungle walks. Chitwan National Park features jungle lodges as well as handicraft and souvenir shopping.

With the monsoon season starting end of June till September, the most ideal time to visit Chitwan National Park on Nepal vacations is from October to May.

Exploring its lush beauty and unique ecosystem, Chitwan National Park is an enriching experience for nature lovers, whether it be a day excursion or an overnight stay.

Did you know that Mongolia is the most sparsely populated country in the world? The number of horses is actually higher than the number of people. Mongolia is also home to several unique animals, like the snow leopard. You should also know that the Gobi Desert is the second-largest desert in Asia and the sixth-largest in the world.

I love Mongolia's vast, untouched landscapes, nomadic culture, and rich history. Mongolia's low population provides a sense of solitude and peace not found in most other countries.

I really enjoyed Mongolia's wide-open wilderness, an endless expanse where adventurous drives, hikes, and a nomadic lifestyle are the norm.

The Naadam Festival that takes place across the country on select dates in July is a must-see experience. This festival is one of the primary reasons travelers go to Mongolia and makes for the Summer months being the peak season for travel.

I love Malaysia's delicious food. The country is also incredibly affordable, and visitors' easy access to public transit is a great way for them to experience local life.
