Welcome to Costa Rica

You will be welcomed by our English-speaking assistant and be transferred to your hotel in Arenal area for check-in. On the way to the hotel, we will make a stop at La Paz Waterfall and gardens. The La Paz Waterfall is the most famous attraction in Costa Rica where visitors often stop on the road to take photos on their way to Sarapiquí or Arenal, but the best waterfalls are actually above the La Paz waterfall along a steep canyon accessed by our safe hiking trails making these five waterfalls the most easily accessible waterfalls in Costa Rica. On our Magia Blanca waterfall viewing platform you can take a photo under the waterfall. Great photo opportunities can be found at Templo waterfall and Encantada waterfall as well. La Paz Waterfall Gardens is a “must see” attraction when you are in the Poás Volcano area. In the Evening Welcome Dinner.

After breakfast enjoy the morning at your leisure or plan a yoga class by the thermal pools. Later on in the day you will be met and picked up at your hotel to enjoy a hiking tour at Arenal Volcano. Whether hiking through lava trails, crossing the rainforest, or celebrating on the edge of the Arenal Volcano, enjoy a remarkable occasion filled with scenic beauty, accompanied by the breathtaking Lake Arenal. Two different hiking trails walking on hills formed by lava during the Arenal Volcano 1968 eruption. Find here Los Patos Lagoon, medium difficulty trails through a very original landscape and great panoramic views of Arenal Volcano and Arenal Lake. As the afternoon ends, enjoy a guided journey of the property and gather for yourself the tubers, fruits, and vegetables that have been organically produced. Mill and enjoy a delicious juice of sugar cane squeezed in the handmade trapiche. At the restaurant, La Guaria Morada, be part of the classes of Costa Rican typical cuisine. Learn how to prepare traditional recipes and share with a Costa Rican family rural, typical dance and enjoy a family dinner.

After breakfast you will be met and transferred to Sloth Territory During the hike, the trail will allow you to enjoy a gallery forest with lush vegetation and giant trees such as Chilamate, and Guacimo Colorado, constituting the habitat of many species such as opossums, two-toed sloth, three-toed sloth, and many birds such as toucans, tanagers, Royal Flatcatcher, and others but the main attraction is the observation of the sloths. Lunch at a local Restaurant. Later you will explore La Fortuna Waterfall. The Fortuna River waterfall is in a biological reserve with an area of 210 acres of transition premontane tropical wet forest, part of the Arenal Volcano National Park located at 520 meters over the sea level. Here you can enjoy an incredible experience and also directly help the development of the local community. To get to the stunning waterfall of 70 meters (230 feet) high, you will walk along a beautiful rain. Forest full of native trees with comfortable areas so that you can rest and hydrate all the way to the waterfall. Once in the waterfall, you can find many spacious viewing points for you to admire the views and, take breathtaking pictures. You can also swim in the refreshing Fortuna River beside this incredible waterfall.

This morning after breakfast, we will start our scenic drive to Tamarindo area. Upon your arrival you will enjoy the next few days at this stunning hotel. One of the best-known beach towns in Costa Rica! Tamarindo has so much to offer that you may think about adding extra days to your vacation. Mornings can be filled with surfing, kayaking, snorkeling, and beach horseback riding, swimming or … just being lazy on a hammock, sipping fresh coconut water. Afternoons can be for fishing, zip lining, tubing down a river or having cocktails at sunset while relaxing on a beautiful catamaran ride…but the night is just starting and there is music, dancing, fancy or casual dining in varied restaurants or just stargazing while listening to the waves.

The Animal Sanctuary is home to frogs, snakes, crocodiles, monkeys, sloths, beautiful birds, butterfly observatory and a variety of cats including pumas and jaguars. The Botanical Garden, filled with fruit trees, flowers and plants is the location of the “Traditional House” a replica of a typical farmhouse common in the area 100 years ago. The tour itself was amazing...the lodges that we stayed at were very nice and the food was great (except for one lodge's food).
