Overview
Take a trip to Cancun on your Mexico vacation.
Cancun is a fairly recent man-made resort dating back to 1970 before which it did not exist as such. It is located northeast of the Yucatan Peninsula and on the Caribbean Sea. It is definitely Mexico’s showcase resort. Few resorts anywhere on Mexico vacations have the infrastructure and amenities that were built into Cancun from the beginning. It is naturally endowed with turquoise waters and powdery white sandy beaches. The beaches themselves stretch for 23 kilometres/14 miles and are shaped like the number seven. There is a large selection of good-quality hotels many of which are all-inclusive resorts.
Cancun is not only for sun worshippers but also for water sports enthusiasts. Being located on a coral reef, Cancun is popular with both scuba divers and snorkelers. There are also 2 excellent golf courses.
One major attraction of Cancun is its proximity to several archaeological Mayan sites including the nearby Tulum and a little further afield, Chichen Itza. In Cancun itself are the Mayan Museum of Cancun and the very unusual Subaquatic Museum of Art which is an underwater contemporary art museum where sculptures are fixed to the seabed, to be experienced on a Mexico vacation package.

The Festes Majors are summer festivals held in the villages of Andorra. Each festival is unique to the village, with its own distinct style.
The Pyrenean Mountain scenery and tax-free shopping are two of my favourite things about travelling to Andorra.
I love learning about Nicaragua's culture and experiencing its Spanish influence in some cities. I was only there for five days, but I'll never forget how delicious the food was and how welcoming and extremely polite the people were.
The Day of the Dead in Guatemala is a great local tradition where people gather to fly giant, intricately decorated kites to honour the dead.
The colourful Spanish architecture, the beautiful scenery, particularly the stunning lakes, and the Mayan ruins are what I love most about Guatemala!
