Take a trip to the Cotswolds on your England Vacation
The Cotswolds, often called the quintessential English countryside, is a must-visit on an English vacation. It's a region of charming villages set amidst rolling landscapes, adorned with historic castles and stately homes.
Broadway, known as "The Jewel of the Cotswolds," is one of the most picturesque villages, with 16th-century buildings in various styles, such as Tudor, Stuart, and Georgian. It boasts one of England's longest High Streets.
Moreton-in-Marsh, a lively market town with a history dating back to the Saxon era, offers a bustling open-air street market on Tuesdays. Notable here is Chastleton House, an exceptional Jacobean house known for its impressive collection of furniture and textiles dating to the 17th century.
Stow-on-the-Wold, a town with roots dating to a prehistoric fortified settlement, is renowned as an antiques center. Situated along the Roman Fosse Way, it features an impressive Market Square surrounded by houses, shops, and inns built from local Cotswold stone.
Chipping Campden is one of the Cotswolds' best-preserved and historically important towns. Its High Street hosts intriguing shops, and the Hidcote Manor Gardens showcase rare plants. Two unique events here include the annual Olimpick Games, dating to 1612, and the Campden Music Festival, primarily featuring classical music in May.
Bourton-on-the-Water, one of the prettiest villages in England, offers a wealth of attractions, shops, restaurants, and tea rooms. You can also enjoy tranquil moments by the River Windrush with its beautiful bridges. This village is often called the "Venice of the Cotswolds" and features a model village and Birdland Park with over 500 bird species.
The Cotswolds, with its picturesque villages and rich history, is a captivating destination for those seeking the essence of English countryside.

A traditional British high tea is a must do in my option. If traditional isnt your cup of tea there are a seemingly endless amount of themed teas including but not limited to Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Bridgerton and Wizard themed.
I love the history of England. There is so much to see and experience not only in regards to history but art and architecture, natural beauty and so much more. It is a very easy country to get around and also very easy to use it as a jumping off point for visiting the rest of Europe.
Late spring to early fall for the best chance of nice weather or during Christmas. London is magical at Christmas time.
The English are actually proud of their cuisine (mostly stereotyped as bland). Afternoon Tea, A full English Breakfast, a Chippy Stand, traditional Sunday roast - all must tries!
